Slovenia Vs USA.. best result?

Been trying to figure out what the best result would be for England (aside from the fact that 2 wins from the next 2 games will do us...)

I think the draw would be the worst result, but a win either way would make things interesting...

ie..if Slovenia beat the USA, then Slovenia would be through and may ease off for the final game

If USA win, then I think it may come down to the difference in goals us and the Americans manage to put past Algeria as to who wins the group.




Let's hope we don't have to worry about it!

having seen germany yesterday, we really need to top the group, so a draw would be good, with us then beating slovenia and algeria......and then usa will probably beat algeria, so

England- 7
Usa- 5
Slovenia- 4
Algeria- 0

I don't think it makes much difference between a) a one-goal USA win, or b) a Slovenia win. Either way, we should still finish top. In some ways I'd rather Slovenia won, then it's totally in our hands, just win the last two games.

Keep the faith... Slovenia and Algeria are very poor sides trust me, its who scores the most goals against them that will progress as group winners.

How would a draw put US level with us on 7 points? If we win our last two we have 7 points. If Slovenia/US draw, the most the US will end with is 5 points, making goal difference irrelevant (slovenia would finish with 2).
