You are nearly 50 years old right? And what have you learned in that time, to me it seems f*** all. How the hell can you blame Slade for our predicament? You truly are a clueless tosser. And I take it you went today and all those other 6 Slade games to have such a damning opinion, right?

46 and I know this much YOU ARE A TOSSER. Go and listen to some Genesis or something.

Slade is turning into one of our worst ever managers.

Played 7

Time to show him his p45 next month. Clearly he is clueless.

Talk about a stupid comment lacking in any sort of context whatsoever. He came in when we were struggling. He has never had anywhere near a fit squad (culminating in 13 out yesterday). He has been left with the same coaching staff as before. But of course you know best.

Personally, I would give him next season and change the backroom staff as new managers are hardly likely to be queueing up for the job.

Everybody seems to blame the manager and i can see why,but surely the problems are far deeper.Thats always been the problem here as every manager has to do things dicks way:angry:

Surely though there is someone out there better than Slade to be in charge next season. Russell did his best but we have got WORSE under him. He would take us to bottom half division 4 football next season imo. There has to be somewhere better, please.

Slade cannot be blamed for our predicament. Given the dire position we were in when he joined and given that he is managing a squad not of his own making but shorn of its best players, he is having to do the job in near impossible circumstances. Unfortunately the appointment of Adams was a big mistake and sentiment kept him hear way past his sell by, the Walsall game should have given everyone a big clue to his shortcomings but sadly he lasted months longer. We have been rudderless all season to expect Slade to bail us out is a tad unrealistic myself.

Whether he is the man for next season, I don't know. I think he would certainly be capable of doing a good job in league 2. If he does want to introduce his own support staff for next year then he must be allowed to do so. As much as I admire DK I do think his sentimental stand by your mates policy is now looking completely out of place. We have to start being ruthless in all areas of the running of the club for us to start the fightback after this dismal season.

There may well be better managers out there, but since he has taken charge we have lost our only two goalscorers and a key defender, the back up players provided by somebody else have not proved up to the task, to place the majority of blame on Slade seems short sighted to me. I appreciate your frustration at such an utterly pathetic season but to say we are heading to the bottom half of div 4 next season is a tad over dramatic.

I am not blaming the manager, as if seven games were enough on which to judge his ability. I blame the players and the difficulty the managers have had in getting a consistently fit eleven players. In this division it doesn't matter too much who the players are as long as they play togther. We have been completely denied that this season.

I got home last night slightly pissed and very angry. There is no way that Slade can be blamed for yesterday though, take your pick from Adams, The Chuckle Brothers, injuries, too many loanees, Dick Knight, no team spirit etc etc.
I took your advice though, the calming tones of Peter Gabriel brought back down to a normal state of mind. As always US you were right. Thanks.

No hard feelings. We are both pissed off I suppose.

We have lost that many games because 11 men who kick a bag of air around a field haven't been quick enough, strong enough, passionate enough, clever enough or skillful enough to put the ball in the back of the oppositions net more times than they have let it go in theirs..

It's that simple.
