Sad for Slade, good that White and Booker went. If those two didnt, it would have made a mockery of our club

Not sure about Hinsh and Oatway being left in charge, but obviously that is temporary

Now we have no manager, no assistant manager and no coaches. Only a director of football, a youth team coach and Albion in the community ambassador

Oh well, it cant be worse than what has been dished up all season

Very interesting to see that eve when someone was in the know he still gets flamed...

After watchn yesterday it was obvious this could not continue.

Now the question is ..........Was Mr Burns right about Stevie Coppell??

I cannot believe a replacement isn't already lined up, and in terms of timing it makes sense being as we only have a worthless cup tie next week. Hopefully Coppell is in the wings.

I'd still have given Slade till the turn of the year though.

Tranmere have a 'popular physio' in charge. Maybe this is the way forward? I mean, all that proper managers seem to do is bring anguish to the Albion.

Is a real shame it hasn't worked out but it is probably the right decision and the right time to do it. Desperately hope that someone is lined up but desperately hope it isn't Wise or Barnes...

What a sad day for the Albion. Slade gone is a travesty. Booker and White were the main culprits for our errors and the players have again under performed. Slade was passionate and loved the Albion and the fact he kept us up last year should have earnt him enough respect to be given time, to build and to nurture a young team into table toppers.

However Blooms decision tells me that he is the total opposite of Dick knight. He is a modern day chairman who is willing to invest heavily and make quick fire decisions instead of Knight who pondered and doddered for far too long while making decisions.

So we now have Wilkins?, Adams, Slade, White and Booker to pay off and have to appoint yet more knew coaching staff who will then take time to turn things around. There is only one thing we can do know and that is appoint a very good coach and manager in the ilk of Coppell, Curbishley... We can't afford to just settle for a reasonable guy we need quality and although the names aforementioned are maybe out of our reach, who cares, lets try and get them in.

Coppell, Chapman and Butters in as manager, assistant manager and first team coach.

What a shame. Liked RS alot. What a terrible cut throat business football is.
Thank you for last year Russ, and thanks for leaving us alot stronger than you found us.
I liked Coppell, but remember how boring we we were in League 1 with him as manager.

Standing in the way of control
Gutted for Russ, but I feel like losing him was worth it to get rid of White and Booker - not because I particularly feel they were culpable for our failures, but more because I sense the whole coaching set-up at the club needs fresh thinking. I think we lost the best coach we had when Wilkins became manager/was sacked.

why did slade have to go, they could have just got rid of the two clowns and let him have his own back room staff, they should have gone when adams went

Shame for Slade. I won't forget his heroics last season

He had started to build a half decent side, has brought in some decent players but for some reason they have played like a bunch of individuals. And our defenders who we thought were decent are all struggling now. Whose fault is that? Can only be the manager and coaching staff.

So probably the right decision.
