Please let this die, someone spoke to Wise recently and he knew nothing about it and hasn't spoken to Bloom. Though that could be bollocks too i suppose... Look, Wise ain't coming and we dont want him. Poyet would be welcome though.

That's what they want you to think. ;)

can we please stop getting rid of manager after manager and do something about the coaching side of the club, we have probably got the best crop of players at this club for a while but our inadequate "coaches" seem to rid them of all ability and fitness, christ i bet even hoyte will be classed as a donkey on here before he leaves !!!

I have to say once the rumours start it usually means the begining of the end for a manager (not that I know anything). Humpy is right though Booker and White are a joke, the coaching set up is still VERY non-league.

Pork pie land.
I'd say this is about right.

I do suspect that Bloom has rather less patience than Knight had, after all, he has his 90m investment at stake! I hope Slade stays, for sure, but I do fear the worst will happen in a couple of weeks if things don't get any better.

Just my opinion, like.

And Tony Bloom is a fan! Tight always felt like a Gooner slumming it with us.

Come on Tony - Slade has had more than long enough to sort things out. Wise and Poyet, Steve Coppell, Curbs - take your pic - but please do something before the season is beyond recovery.

Rubbish. I recently met Tony Bloom at the Brighton & Hove Business Awards and he clearly said that he had faith that the season would turn around. I got the impression that he was being sincere and that there's no way he'd sack Slade this side of Xmas.

Things are bad but even the suggestion of Wise gives me the shivers.
Fortunately he would require more money for himself to make it impossible to sign any further players,after his disaster at Newcastle no other club has shown interest in him,we must follow suit.

I hoped that would be the case.

The original text read;

‘My bird tells me your manager Russell Slade will be gone before the game against Hartlepool on Saturday!
I bet your happy?’

To which I replied;

Our next Home match is against Oldham mate! How would your missus know anyway?

His response;

Well whoever it’s against he’s a getting the tick tack.

To which I replied;

Ok, but how would your bird know???

That was an hour ago and he hasn’t replied, all I know is that his girlfriend works for some livery in Uckfield.

That is the worst source ever!

How can you trust anyone who

A) Takes football advice from his BIRD and,
B) Writes rhyming SLANG in a text message.

If you were any kind of friend you'd tell him to get his bloody act togeather before it's too late :lolol:

The team needs to win both games against Oldham and Hartlepool plus if we get knocked out in the first round of the cup the axe will fall before Xmas.

So, just to summarise all these threads... Slade has three games to save his career, but he'll be gone tomorrow morning, though he has until hartlepool, but he has until christmas.

He is going to be replaced by Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet, though Dennis and Gus apparently aren't willing to work together, but that's ok because Gus is coming in alone. So is Coppell. And Taylor. We're also going to get some legend as director of football with Nicky Forster as player/manager.

Sounds like a winning formula to me.
