Chase on for Orient midfielder | Sky Sports | Football | League One | News

Skysports.com understands a host of clubs are tracking Leyton Orient midfielder Dean Cox.

Cox has been one of Orient's star performers this season, chipping in with 10 goals from midfield and he was recently named player of the season by the club's supporters.

The 23-year-old, who only joined Orient last summer from Brighton, has been a virtual ever-present for the Os and he has established himself as a key player in Russell Slade's plans.

Cox has been instrumental in Orient's late push for the play-offs and he starred in their run to the fifth round of the FA Cup this term.

A number of Championship clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on Cox and are weighing up moves for the skilful winger ahead of this summer's transfer window.

He has always had the ability but has been woefully inconsistant, but he finally seems to have found some prolonged form with Orient, I wouldn't be surprised to see him at the Amex next season (against us obviously)

Meopham, Kent.
He's had a good season at Orient, just as Davies has had at Chesterfield. Sometimes we do either misjudge a player, or someone needs a move to ressurect their career. It happens.

Sky love helping out an agent or two, you only have to watch transfer deadline day to see how many agents they actually have on sky sports news to see that. I tihnk it's fair to say you can trust Sky rumours even less than those sites that keep throwing up literally unbelievable rumours.

As Left Footer says, he isn't as good as Noone or Lua Lua. However he does deserve a chance to prove himself in the Championship so hope he does get himself a move in the summer. Good luck to him.

Good luck to you Coxy. Maybe he has finally grown up and realised how precious a career in football is and not to waste the talent he has. Always liked him at the Albion, but the move to Orient was good for him.
