I was slightly disappointed by the ending to be honest, seemed a little too quick and devoid of emotion given the build up throughout the film.

Emotion? This is James Bond, not Bambi.

Haven't read any posts in this thread except the OP's. going to see the film at 16.30 today.

My favourite bond film to date has been Goldeneye.

Seen it TWICE already. Best of bond with all the rubbish taken out.

Saw it at the Odeon tonight. It was amazing. It's different to a lot of Bond films I found as there's more talking allowing for the build up of the characters.

Not really sure why they went to his old house though, what did they hope to achieve?

The advantage, by playing at home!

I've come back home.
Loved it. Truly great film, not just a great bond film but a great film. Very happy (and a bit jealous that Craig can look good in a cardi and i look like a idiot.) That silhouette fight scene on the highrise was shot wonderfully.

Loved it. It certainly leaves you hungry for more. Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace can almost be considered to be one film, with a great first bit, and a less-good second part.

Skyfall is a brilliant film in its own right - a gripping Bond film with lots of nods to the 'classic' Bonds, but also a fantastic film. I wasn't strangled to death by the product placement, as some people would have you believe - there is only the one shot where the camera lingers on his Omega watch where I particularly noticed that a product was being given unnecessary prominence.

Fantastic film, scary-evil villain and a brilliant plot, which leaves you excited for the next installment. I hope Daniel Craig and Sam Mendes come back for another bite of the cherry, anything else would be a disappointment.

The Heineken placement was evident, but that's probably more to do with the distinctive nature of Heiny bottles.

Right ok this has been burning since Friday and I can't hang on any longer.

Is it ok for a 42 year old man to have the hots for a 77 year old woman.

Ever since she took Bronson apart in her dinosaur speech to him, DJD has got better and better.

When she gets all 'balls out, no sh*t, double hard b*****d' I flocking well love her.
There I've said and don't expect any further comment.

Probably a matriarch figure as opposed to the hots Stat. Dont forget he was an orphan and I read it as a mother/son relationship. "Orphans make the best recruits" hence Silva probably being an orphan and calling her MUMMY (and not just because she is 'M')

Ooh there was a very oedipal subtext I guess.

Terrific film. Want to see it again.
