Sky (Sports) Player

I have ALL Sky Sports channels, but through Virgin Media. Looking into this so I can watch the Ashes online, it doesn't look as though I can as a VM customer. Anyone on VM tried this yet?

I know this is not very helpful but I have it but then again I'm with Sky. I presume Sky do it this way to provide another reason why you should be with Sky direct rather than through cable. The quality really is very good.

Sky Player is only available to Sky customers only.

And no i can't help you either, other than to say it's brilliant and you should do whatever it take to get it!

Still trying to register.....its not recognising me as a sky customer despite having sky tv, broadband and phone calls through sky!!!!

Sky should take a leaf out of Eurosport's book and offer Sky Sports Player as a monthly pay as you go so you watch on your PC, even if your not a SKY Customer.

I'm able to watch the Tour de France on Eurosport using their new player, and I don't have SKY.

What I don't understand is why Eurosport is free in the rest of Europe, but you need to pay SKY to get Eurosport GB in the UK.

They do just that. I don't have sky, but have just signed up to an ashes package which allows me to wacth sky sports 1, and all the entertainment channels online for just £17 per month. I shall be cancelling my subscription after the ashes have finished, so its ideal.
