I too will be cancelling SKY Sports very shortly, I will also be cancelling SKY Movies at the same time.

I have just done exactly that - phoned Sky at the weekend and removed Sky Sports and Movies channels. Have kept the Sky Sports News channel as it's reasonably useful, but to be honest, there are few decent premiership games on Sky now that Setanta has so many of them, and if there's one I really want to watch, I'd rather go down the pub. If an Albion game is televised, as a STH I'll be at the home game - away game I'll go down the Witch or somewhere to watch it.

In cancelling sports and movies, I have instantly reduced the monthly subscription by half!

???

Sky were allowed 5 of the 6. Setanta bought the two LOWEST priced packages...

Plus it was the EU courts that decided more competition was required.
Ofcom did have their sticky little fingers in the pie as part of a consultation into Pay TV. Although Sky were allowed 5 out of the 6 packages , I got the impression that by winning 5/6 they would still have been referred to the Competition Commission. Why did the 2 lowest tendered packages seem to have the best selection ?

I ordered Sky Sports for the Brighton game a few months back. I thought I may as well keep it, and to be honest with you every single Premiership game I have watched so far has been boring, as boring as seria A. I will be cancelling it next week.

I just cant get excited with football anymore, I dont know if this is becuase Brighton are not doing well, or we just get too much football generally, in the newspapers, internet and TV.

Has anyone else lost the buzz?
well done, the quicker more do, the quicker the game can be reclaimed for the real fans

As I pointed out in the Barwick thread, if enough fans could gang up and threaten to cancel their Sky Sports subscription, the idea of the 39th match would be a dead duck. There's no way that Sky would countenance the idea of losing all that moolah.

But, of course, it won't happen
