SKY release 'Live' games list for Football League

im pretty sure we will get a televised game

but it depends how the season and league pans out...

could be anyone, but i fancy us to be the away side

hopefully a battle for the play-offs?

Forest/Leeds away fortnight perhaps?

i thought leeds would have been good tv game showing our recent record against them

sky wanted to show two of our games. not only could they not make an agreement because we are technically not allowed to trade right now bates told them to swivel because the policing costs go up for us for a friday night, midday etc. kick off and the money from sky doesn't make changing the game worthwhile for us right now.

...ummm, so if a so called bigger club loses money by having the Sky cameras there it doesn't really suggest that they are the positive influence on football that the Premiership clubs would have us believe.

exactly.

bates has done this twice before, sky wanted to show games from elland road twice last season and he refused. one was over easter and i forget the other. at that time he gave a whole detailed sky give us £x, the police will charge us £b (it's a lot more for a friday night game or odd kick off from west yorkshires finest), we'll have approx £e less gate money etc and showed how it would end up costing us and the £50k or whatever it was last season was not worth it.

can't blame him. everyone should say no to sky.
