Really should have been a thread for the World Cup final that never was last night, but a story now developing in Rome.

England 17-8 down and deservedly so as Italy have just run in a fabulous try.

Stuck at home and unable to go to the Amex so watching England.

Our trouble is that we are SO predictable. There’s no champagne rugby on show yet.

Ireland utterly destroyed France on Friday.

I was thinking about it, being an Irish rugby fan is a bit like being a Brighton fan inasmuch as this is a golden era for both of us and both teams are WAY better than they've ever been at anytime in their past. Results that at one time would have been inconceivable are now routine. And I don't think either set of fans can really believe it! (Certainly not the older ones).

I'm surprised TMO didn't overturn that. One image showed ball on ground on line and Scotland No. 12 - who has a clear view -punching the air.

England down to 13 players for now.

And despite that, they score!
