Not an expert on rugby but it seems our man went for the ball, didn't hold on to it,got his face scraped on the way down so Scotland got a try without going over the line?

Rather than making a genuine attempt to catch it he batted it out stopping the Scotland player from having a clear try scoring opportunity.

He deliberately pushed the ball forward and out of touch and thus, in the view of the referee, prevented a try from being scored. May well have lost England the game with that silliness.

Batting the ball deliberately out of play is automatic penalty try and yellow card. Not jumping and letting him score would have been a better outcome. The sooner Jamie George is back in this side the better.

A 10-point swing in a tight game. Killer.

But there was an exemption for David Campese as I recall? Ah well, it's a crock of shite., who cares.

Rookie captain turns down kickable penalty. Poor.

Such a low standard international, kicking for territory and fumbles.

10-17 to a loss in a flash, basic errors have plagued England for years.

So spoilt with the golden England decades, all very meh ever since.

No. Not basic errors. One man, a bonehead play, decides game. Even then Curry should have taken the penalty to tie the match. Worse case scenario is we miss and get the ball back from a 22 drop out with 2 minutes left.

Congratulations to Scotland for hangjng in there, but Cowan- Dickie can do one.

I thought it was always agreed that England were always in contention for the Six Nations until game 4 at least, and we would then **** it up. Seems odd we have ****ed up ahead of schedule thus rendering the whole tournament unwatchable?

Game in red zone. Repeated scrums. Scottish commentator said anywhere else on the pitch it's a penalty but ref allows play to continue until Scotland win the ball.
