lol thats my son in law,

and there is a very good reason its called health and safety....i did pass your message on he said wait till they move into the amex, where the rules will be more enforced and be even more strict with more stewards, at the end of the day hes paid to keep all the supporters safe

No it isnt. he's a jobsworth who along with all the other stewards in that area seem intent of ruining any chance of an atmosphere. j block was allocated as the singing section and as we all know a better atmosphere is created when you are standing. Take the support away from home as an example nobody sits down and a great noise is made. Everybody wants to stand in that area so let them get on with it. HEALTH AND SAFETY? MY ARSE. I dont care what it says on tickets health and safety officials are nasty little hitlers intent on running peoples lives. I work in the construction industry and know how interfering they can be. Look forward to the usual hand ringing lilly livered brigade response.

It doesn't matter a flying dot which clubs are allowing it and it is frankly trivial bleating on about it week in week out. Rules is rules.

How thick are some people? ALL the clubs mentioned above have by far bigger 'singing sections' so to speak, than we do. 1000+ people is FAR more difficult to handle than a couple of hundred tops in J block! Obviously they are going to find it more appropriate to enforce the law on the smaller numbers. How is that hard to understand?

Of course it's not ideal, of course a better atmosphere is created when you are able to stand up, but come on do the math - it's their JOB.

Yep, but we could be one of the clubs that DO allow it, in certain agreed areas. Can't see why not - the tide is turning.

It's not up for the club to decide, they are bound by law to employ stewards with the ideology that they will respect the ground regulations, which unfortunately involves making people sit down.

A handful of stewards will always win over a 100-200, and will never win when faced by 1000. It's just the way it goes, infact, it's just common sense.

unfortunately stewards cant please every one every time, and some supporters are short sighted if they really believe there they just to spoil there fun, they are employed by.b.h.a football club to do a job, if they do not carry out the task given then they serve no purpose,my son in law needs this 2nd job to help support his wife (my daughter) and young family, its a job and a job he likes and yes even likes the odd banter, some might joke god help us if he is needed well i hope that they are never needed, but not all supporters are fully grown men with ego's and if some one ever did i would hope the stewards would be there for them for what ever reason.
