It won't be 'suddenly', no. It's going to take at least one full-term, and probably into the second before they are able to reverse the crap that the tories have inflicted on the country over the last 14 years.

We’re getting some good policy meat in the bones now that Starmer is being confronted by the electorate and not Labour councillor stooges!

This morning, he has said everyone who pays income tax or are in the armed forces should get a vote. A brilliant move for the country which should really upset the hard right!

On that subject, 10 Downing Street has said Sunk won’t be honouring his £1,000 bet to charity with Piers Morgan if flights to Rwanda don’t take off before the election. I realise this no surprise.

There are areas they could make an instant differences, like end the strikes, prosecute all those who profited from dodgy Covid contracts, ban no fault evictions, bring in a wealth tax (unlikely), stop Rwanda plan, more regulation with the banks, commit to finish HS2, commit to previous net zero targets. Long term we need investment in public servies, if it means more borrowing so be it because if we don´t we will pay a higher price in the future.

When you say ‘end the strikes’…..what’s the strategy?

She said she’d stand down if it was found she’d committed a criminal offence so I guess it’s over for her.

In terms of the billionaire owned right wing press (and the Tory party) I suspect they’ve got a dozen more headlines (at least) out of this to come.

I’m hoping the Police always hand over investigations that fall outside their jurisdiction to other relevant government agencies, whether they think there is something worth pursuing by other means or not. I suspect Stockport Council has a time limited cut off for investigating though.

News just in - The previous attendee at the Tory Party conference who is in charge of Greater Manchester Police has realised that the political party who's bidding he is doing are not going to be his bosses anymore, that the MP who he has acted at the direct behest of is 29 points behind his challenger in the opinion polls, and that the person he is investigating is likely to be really quite powerful really quite soon.
