Yes that Ian Botham.
As a trade envoy?
Yes.

Has he ever been Youth Hosteling with Chris Eubank?

I know this is tough.
I know every single word that will be written, by both sides, until such time as it shuffles off to t'pit.

But we can't just leave 'Ian Botham Trade Envoy' off the radar because of the oh so predictable nature of it.

He's now a trade envoy - Ian Botham.

Unfortunately, I read it on Twitter this morning, and that picture resurfaced. You know, that one!

Also Kate Hoey is Trade Envoy to Ghana.

I can see both really doing well, encouraging trade.

Raab in trouble so let's push out some news to change the headlines, what haven't we done for a while.

I know Mr Johnson, and it's a win win, not only do we get Raab off the front pages, but we can yet again reward someone who supported Brexit and will just do as we say.

What's that.

Make Ian Botham a trade envoy.

Brilliant, have a £10k pay rise.

Now for another all expenses paid holiday.

It is incredible that so many will celebrate this who said rashford should stick to football. What fun.

I thought Tim Martin of Wetherspoons had got the global 'jobs for the boys' beer gig?

What next, Sir Geoff Hurst trade envoy to Germany?

At least when it all goes up in smoke, he'll be there to pick up The Ashes...

How embarrassing. The UK really is in a mess if he’s the best you can come up with :lolol:

We are on a sticky wicket with this appointment, it crosses the boundary of decency.
I could not believe it when I saw the headline, in fact it hit me for six and I creased up and I thought it would catch a few out.
Whoever made this appointment should be dismissed instantly.

Someone probably saw that he has some investment in Australian wines and decided that he is better placed than anyone in the old boys network to fill the role:facepalm:

I know that this seems a bit dodgy, but don't forget, we have a virtually flawless record when it comes to choosing our 'trade envoys'.

It's probably the only Beefy we can export to Australia easily.
