When they start drug testing in darts then maybe we'll be comparing apples with apples.

' Phil, you require 170 ' ........

' Quick lads, while he's not looking flush the syringes down the bog' !!!!

I don't think so

Cycling in the UK has only been a popular hobby until CHris H

Fishing!!

A cyclist won sports personality of the year in 1965 (Tom Simpson) so hardly a modern development.

It's hardly a hobby if it has hundreds of UK professionals, with a few earning premier league type wages (Cav/Wiggins earn approx 100-150k a week nowadays).

So you lot have now decided that the cyclists don't deserve medals because of a flaky past? Darts has only started testing for drugs since 1996 and the 8th person ever tested was found to provide a positive sample.

Louis Smith !!! I end my case

The Honours System is a complete Joke and now holds no merit

To be honest I don't believe any sportsman should get an honour from the Queen , there are millions of other people who come before them .

Every British soldier for a start ....... And all the other Services

Can I just point out that winning the World Championship 15 times in Darts, whether it is a sport or not, is a monumental achievement. To be able to sustain that level of skill for such a long period of time is exceptional. Whether it merits a gong is another matter.

I assume Bradley is giving his gong to Team Sky.

Did you make these complaints when the 1966 England team where honoured?

Brad Wiggins won the cycling equivalent of the Football World Cup this year.

Illegal maybe, but is it unhealthy?

Depends on the situation - in hospitals it can save lives. In sport it can (and has) killed people. When people have to set alarms to wake up every 3 hours to exercise through the night to stop their blood clotting then yes, it is unhealthy.

Personally I don't follow darts, but 15 World Championships appears to be a decent achievement (sport or not). It seems there are 'outside influences' preventing an honour - probably the aforementioned sexual assault conviction.

Taylor was awarded an MBE in 2001, but it was retracted following a conviction for sexual assault.
Indeed.
