Absolute legend, real hero of mine.

Hard work, bravery, guts, and talent - a true inspiration to all. The fact he he managed to win 3 slams and Olympic golds in the era of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic is an incredible achievement in itself and testament to his greatness as a British sporting icon.

Add in the fact he's a great bloke too and he deserves all the accolades going. I love his open determination to fight for womens rights. His simple, calm response a few years ago of 'male player' to a journalist saying that Sam Querry was the first American to reach a grand slam semi since 2009 was one of the great feminist moments along with when he embarrassed John Inverdale for a similarly sexist gaffe.

I'll miss him.

To win a load of tournaments including majors when operating against possibly the three all time greats, is astonishing. And breaking the men's Wimbledon hoodoo.

Always loved Scotland, the people, the place. No issue with them having a sporting grudge, all part of the fun. I always support them when they're playing, but doesn't bother me a wee bit if they want England to lose.

Draper is classic British tennis. Son of Roger Draper, former chief exec of Sport England and the LTA, and Nicky Draper (former British junior champion) and privately educated.

Good luck to him but OT, I really wish tennis was more available to kids at grass roots level in this country, currently it is the preserve of the wealthy generally. It is a great sport but so difficult for kids to get into. My boys are 8 and 10 and have never played tennis on a proper court. Now admittedly they play football pretty much all the time but it's not easy for them to play if they wanted to. I don't know what it's like in Sussex generally but round here, they don't play it in school at all and it's really hard to book onto a court anywhere locally as you need to be a member of wherever it is and is then really expensive. Finding group coaching to make the cost more palatable rather than one to one coaching is really difficult too.

Recently Cricket seems to be making a real effort locally to open itself up to kids with free and cheap coaching courses and clubs/camps and I've noticed a real uptake in kids playing it but Tennis just isn't an option for most kids. Until it is, we will struggle to produce any more Murray's.
