Scroll forward to 6 minutes for the B side. OK, a lot of dub reggae B sides are better than the A sides, but they are just the dub reggae version. This is in that style, but this B side is magic.

Totally agree - it’s great - I’d never heard it before.

Not sure how double-A-sides fit into the thread. Most of the early UB40 singles on Graduate were in this category - King/Food for Thought, My Way of Thinking/I Think It’s Going To Rain Today(classic!), Dream A Lie/The Earth Dies Screaming - happy days! Their first album - Signing Off - concerned the one of the apt tunes dedicated to the PM of the time - Madam Medusa! I played it all the louder!

Even though national treasures Brotherhood of man won Eurovision with Save all your kisses for me, the B side, let's all love together, was marginally a better song.

Those UB40 tracks are all brilliant. I have the King/food for thought single from juke box of what is now The Brewery Shades, in Crawley, where I worked in 1980....

It wasn't the B side of House of the Rising Sun - it was an A side in its own right. House of the Rising Sun was released a year earlier, in 1964, with Ray Charles' Talkin' 'Bout You on the B side.

It was the B side to the 1970 single release of House of the Rising Sun, but correct about the 1964 release.

Must have re released it. I have the single on vinyl

The 1970 re-release then, according to post#54. Definitely not the original 1964 one then, it seems.

Both songs bl**dy good though.

More than likely. I keep meaning to fondle my old vinyl :ohmy::wave:
