Also last season, he was mostly on his less favoured side.

Simon is terrific. In my mind, currently ahead of Minteh and certainly keeping Mitoma honest for that left wing spot
That's a good point about Mitoma. In fairness today the service to him was not great and aside from the assist for the first goal his contribution was minimal.

😧 I think Minteh offers a lot more out of possession
Yes and in posession too.

Some very knee jerk comments about Minteh today based on a few bad decisions that a just turned 20 year old made in his second PL game against one of the biggest clubs in the world. He’s not going anywhere though, he has the x factor and is comfortably ahead of Adingra.

Minteh imo is hyped up far to early 2 games in. Great potential . Made some poor decisions from Great opportunities in second half today.
Adingra has consistently delivered for us. In PL and Europe.
One of the few wingers who will pass ,cross, immediately without having check, back ,shimmy etc.
Should start.

Agreed. People getting a little carried away with Minteh, because everyone loves a new shiny toy.

The truth ought to be that they both, along with Mitoma and Gruda,(and March 🙏 ) are used in rotation. Send any two out, telling them to give everything for 60 minutes - then send on a fresh pair. Don’t see the point in leaving the two starters out there for so long today, with so much talent on the bench.

Minteh was excellent without the ball today. He made mistakes in possession, but having Veltman behind him and Milner, who was very poor, inside him, meant he was often having to do so much alone on the ball.

He still created chances today, as well as putting in some great set pieces and some other good crosses… there’s a real player in there. He just needs time, and more compatible players alongside him.

He was poor at the back end of last season, but to be fair he was probably knackered.
Just think he’s poor out of possession, and he needs to work on that part of his game…… beautiful cross today though.

Minteh had a disappointing day today, but it’s his second game in the PL, so incredibly early days for him as well. Absolutely agree with @sussex_guy2k2 point about out of possession.

This. Adringa's final ball or decision making has been pretty woeful sometimes. He's gone on brilliant runs only to balloon the ball etc...

Yes he's young and will get better and I really like him. So will Minteh, but I think Minteh edges it for me right now.

Either way, what bloody riches do we have?

Absolutely, the effort to press for such a sustained period is draining, and surely players will be changed at 60 as you suggest.

I thought that was the whole point of buying so many wingers. If they really gave everything for 60 minutes, and then we brought on fresh replacements, it would be a nightmare for defenders.

Minteh has been hyped up a lot but Adingra has shown over the past year that he is very wasteful in the final 3rd. Hopefully a goal and assist in b2b weeks means he's improved.
