His name is Simeon, not Simieon!
It feels to me like they've stepped on our toes (so to speak). I'd liken it to being gazumped on a house, I'm not happy with Calderon or Southampton.Southampton have done nothing wrong in signing Calderon, have they?
And this is NOT a joke, but I have actually heard that Southampton are lining up an offer for Jackson this week.
He'd be a good signing though, Siemoin Jackson. Go for him Gus.
If this is true Southampton have more money than sense. They are turning into my least favourite club at this level (with Leeds gone) and I despise everything they stand for. As others have said we seem to act as Pardew's scouting network, he probably heard we were after Jackson.
Why would they spend serious money on Jackson when they already have the two best strikers in the division by a mile?

Agreed with this, Simone would be a good addition to the squad if we did get him.
Saints were gash, lost the game, and Symyon Jackson impressed for the opposition.
It seems that Pardew is not convinced by Barnard. He feels that as a squad they are too reliant on Lambert, and for their recent game against Gillingham, he left Lambert on the bench to test the theory.

If they're not convinced by Barnard and do end up signing Cinamon Jackson, let's whack in a bid for him! He is exactly the kind of striker we need and it would stop him scoring against us!
You seem to have forgotten SIMEON Jackson also has a flair name.Simieieionie Jackson is better than Kriss Hoolryod, so I say get him in. He is also a CANADIAN international even though he is actually Jamaican, which is extra marks on his flairanautical attributes
My Gills mate doesn't like him much - says he's lazy...
