Two NSCers (nomoremithras4me and a PMer who perhaps wants to be anonymous) bid it up to £100 which I am very grateful for and delighted with... at the event, as predicted, it would basically have been up to me to buy it and I couldn't have afforded much more than about £40. I was also really pleased to be able to tell the parents and Trustees that NSC members had made donations online - they thought that was brilliant and I think they were a bit amazed!
To split the two bids of £100 I will take the earlier bid which was made by nomoremithras4me. If he can PM me then we can arrange the logistics (please make the donation here https://www.justgiving.com/thebenmcnicoltrust and PM me with delivery/meet-up details).
Thanks to everyone, especially the bidders and donors (HKFC, raymondbriggs and Pbseagull) for receiving this thread so generously. Any additional donations to Ben's Trust would be extremely welcome - however small - if a number of NSCers gave just a few pounds and gift-aided that would be extremely welcome.
This really is one of those opportunities to put smaller concerns into perspective and be grateful for what you have.
