Kuszczak 8 - Some brilliant saves and distributing was better. Had no chance with any of the goals

Ward 6 - Got forward ok, defended ok
Greer 4 - Distribution was very poor and got sucked in for the pen
Upson 5 - Better than Greer but still poor
Calderon 6 - Did ok

Andrews 5 - Not good
Crofts 7 - Busy and worked hard but was fighting a hopeless cause at times
Forster-Caskey 6 - Did ok but struggled to get into the game

Buckley 5 - Deliveries very poor, lots of running into blind alleys. Off form
Lua Lua 7 - Did some very direct running and was the only player likely to do anything of note. Lacked that last touch/shot/cross though
Barnes 5 - Didn't play to his best but he was woefully isolated and had literally no support. I feel for him

Subs:
Lopez 2 - Absolutely pointless and his delivery (gentle floated set pieces onto the CB's head EVERY TIME)
Barker 6 - Average, didn't have much time to make an impact
Conway 4 - Anonymous

Oscar 6 - Picked the right team, the one a lot of us wanted to see, and for the first half we looked good but we absolutely fell apart in the 2nd half. Something isn't right... The players are playing like strangers and are making sloppy basic errors though: short passes going astray, shooting woefully inaccurate, set pieces and embarrassment etc etc

Thoughts?

OK you love Barnes but seriously? Rated the same as Buckley who caused them problems.

I don't get what has happened to Spanish Dave, seems to have lost the ability to pass the ball and his free kicks are woeful. We know he is a much better player than he is currently showing but he really needs to up his game

Kusczack - 7, well on it today
Ward - 7, linked well with Kaz
Greer - 5, game of 2 halves, great in first, poor second. Silly foul for the clear pen.
Upson - 6 bit slow at times
Calde - 5, missed a good chance, lively first half hour but faded
Crofts - 7, good goal and looked a threat
Andrews - 4, worst game in an Albion shirt
JFC - 7, surprised when he was taken off. Gave us balance, great first half.
Lua Lua - 9, tormented them all game, worked hard and ALL FOUR of their bookings and sending off were a result of fouls on him
Buckley - 6, again 2 halves, great in first but he tires easily and he did in second once again.
Barnes 5, not an out and out striker, embarrassingly substituted for Barker

Subs

David (for JFC) 5
Conway (for Calde) - 4 LAZY! Another Dobbie?
Barker, not on long enough to rate.

The fact is, it was not actually an all round bad performance, it was better than Tuesday by far. Brighton had 55.6 percent of possession and many more shots off target, but Forest had more shots on target and were able to put the ball in the net. Nothing we didn't know, but we just lack a cutting edge. Hopefully this can be resolved soon.

Caused them problems, yes. But nothing Forest couldn't deal with easily. As a results, his contribution was very little. At least Barnes got an assist...

I'm not saying he had a good game by any means, but neither did Buckley.

Kooshack - 8 - kept us in it first half 3 brilliant saves

Ward - 7 - showed some real passion rapidly becoming a favourite here
Greer - 4 - owned
Upson -4 - owned too
Calderon - 5 - ineffective, wtf was that header?

Andrews - 4 - good imitation of Agustien
Crofts - 6 - huffed and puffed as usual, needed some help
JFC - 4 - contributed nothing, pity

Buckley - 5 - why the feck put him in the centre?
Barnes - 4 - get off your arse and stop whinging
KLL - 7 - too much expected of him, gave everything

Management - 4 - Not sure who's pulling the strings, is it Oscar or Jones?

Mom for me was kuszczak. He made three saves in the first half that kept us in the game or it would have been a cricket score! Buckley is the ultimate marmite player...one minute brilliant, the next really awful. He can be so brilliant though.

Was really disappointed that when they went down to 10 we persisted with playing through the middle instead of pulling them from one wing to the other! Really strange tactics.....

Defence, average 4, midfield around 5 and forward line around 5 again.

Poor effort all round. Don't get me started on ward btw!

Did you watch the game?

Have you any understanding of the game? It's not easy for Barnes as he is a different type of player to Ulloa, if they want to to continue to chip the ball at Barnes' head he's going to struggle to use it the same way Ulloa would. We're playing exactly the same style, Barnes stands no chance.

I will be quite happy if David goes nowhere near our first team again for a while.
