Sid Vicious was a talentless waste of space, The Sex Pistols would have been proper good if he hadn't have joined !!

I still can't imagine what Mr and Mrs Vicious were thinking of when they christened him Sidney. It just makes him sound silly.
I reckon Troy Vicious would of been much better.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Yeah i find this pop-mythology heroism thing somewhat ludicrous in a number of cases. He was a talentless cock, druggily riding the tails of one posh punk vocalist and a curly-haired, chancers'-armed hypist.
Not the sort of man you wish lived longer. Or i don't, i should say.

is it true about him going to the same public school in Tunbridge Wells as the world's biggest plastic paddy Shane McGowan?

Not sure. I remember hearing Shane McGowan speaking for the first time a few years back and being shocked he was from London without a hint of an Oirish accent. Numpty!

Every time I've heard McGowan speak, I've not understood a single word.

How come his songs make sense?

Shane McGowan went to Westminster school. He's Irish in the sense that his family own about half of Tiperrary.

Vicious was an easily led young man who fell in with the junky crowd. The enevitable happened and in my eyes he was about as far away from a hero or role model as oone can possibly get

My Mums family own a lot of land in N. Ireland. A lot of land. However I was born in England and am in no way whatsoever Irish.
