Could we please put an end to the threads about West Ham tickets on the Insider forum.

Its getting REALY,REALY,BORING!!!

People are just asking the same questions over and over again, which surley must be starting to piss 'Insider' off.

Could we not just say that anyone who needs info about WHU tickets should contact the club direct?

I cant believe there are still questions that need asking anyway,as everything seems to have been covered a thousand times over somewhere on here already.

Its taken you this long to feel this way about it?! I was pissed off with it the day after the fixture cam out. Keep up at the back.

As far as the Ask The Club forum is concerned, I have a deal of sympathy with what Junior is saying. That forum is for questions, not comments. If Insider is overwhelmed with nonsense, the whole forum could grind to a halt.

I have therefore removed some of the non-questions from Ask The Club (including Junior's post). I hope no-one is expecting Insider to do no more than "note" the comments that remain there.

He does, after all, read NSC's main board as well - and I'm sure he has picked up that there are different opinions floating around.

I for one would be disappointed if the Club didn't listen to all points of view, but I would be equally disappointed if people thought that a simple question on Ask The Club might achieve a change in the way ticketing is handled.

God knows how much argument there is going to be if we draw the game at Upton Park and there's a scramble for tickets for the replay, with just days to sell them.

I think its about time the Insider thread was "Closed for Christmas" to give him a well earned break, not to be reopened until January 7th, ready for the 4th round draw

Sorry no, I wont shut up about it. I cant see how this is right.
We buy three season tickets a year and go to as many away games as we can. Unfortunately we didn't get to the 'magic ticket' one!

We have been told today that we didn't get assigned tickets.

Our three applicants were :

1. All Season Ticket Holders +
2. All Away Members +
3. Lil' coach is a Junior Seagull.

We posted our application in the special collection point at Withdean at the Swansea match as we were advised to do as they would be treated as 'first post accepted' applications - as per the website.

The old boy who sits next to us has been assigned tickets and he posted his in, after the Swansea match!

They haven't got through all the applicants yet,we only got money out of our account a few days ago and we gave ours in at Swansea.Insider wouldn't be able to do anything, best to contact the club shop or tiicket office

Personally, I think that you are right to be angry. I still think all STH's deserve first dibs [and I am not one btw]. I am neither a STH or an AMS member, and I THINK I have been successful in securing a ticket [unless I've got my cheque numbers mixed up], presumably because I did go to Millwall.

Having said all that, any system would have upset some people, and the supporters at Millwall were amazing that night. I have it on pretty good authority that the manager / club wanted to reward them for their support at what frankly wasn't the most attractive fixture of the season.

We already have. They said all the season ticket applications had been processed and we hadn't been assigned any.
When questioned about how many season ticket holders had applied at withdean at the swansea match - was it more than 2500? - the girl said she had no idea (and sounded like she couldnt care less!)
I think our application has just been found in the bottom of one of the drums from the swansea game.
I will find out on Boxing day if more season ticket holders got tickets who applied after the swansea game. I know of four in the row behind who applied by post the days after the match.

   You tell 'em. Something wrong there.

Never mind, for a mere 2 grand +VAT go for an executive box with half bottle fine wine per person AND a hostess for the day.

Slurp.

At the risk of further prolonging what risks becoming a tedious debate, the real issue has to be the club's policy, not whether individuals have or haven't been succesful. In my view the policy is seriously flawed - but I say this with the club's interests at heart. Insider has stated on the "Ask the Club" section that the policy was set two years ago after complaints in the wake of the Spurs game. I wasn't aware of that, but that's probably because we hadn't won a cup game since until this season. Notwithstanding that, the club have actually just stuck to an agreed policy, which is a very defensible position.

However, two years ago we were in the Championship with every prospect of selling 5,000+ season tickets. The need to give something extra to STHs wasn't really there.

Now we are averaging around 5,500 for home games in a ground which takes just under 9,000. Falmer is still just as far away. In 2007/08 the club will desperately need to sell more Season Tickets. In this environment, STHs need to have a little bit more of an incentive to keep shelling out around £500 a year.

I think the club has missed a trick in not amending the policy.
And actually, IMHO, the original policy was wrong....whatever the climate, STHs should be rewarded with priority over all other applicants.

Ho hum.

Its getting BORING!!!

If you still have issues with the West Ham ticket allocation, speak to the club and stop clogging NSC with the same argument over and over again:angry:
