Yes, that was the other thing in my mind. Why oh why go to a concert and fork out all that dosh only to chat about what you did last week at Aunt Mabel's?
I get why people video or photograph gigs…but just don’t understand why people go and casually chat at a gig like they’re down the pub. Annoying for the crowd and disrespectful to the artist.

I remember seeing Apparat in Brighton and they got so pissed off when their mikes picked up crowd chatter they politely explained the issue and then ended the show early as people persisted. Some venues in Berlin ban phones, you get it out and you’re shown the door.

Don’t video* your food; it makes you look a complete twat?

*also applies to photographing.
I have a “one photo” policy at restaurants and gigs. Certainly have never taken a video though.

The moral is stop going to restaurants that make you pay to cook your own food!!! Like the stupid trend of cooking your own steak on a hot stone! What’s the point!!!! Grrrrrr
Haha, we go to a place in the Algarve every year (another North Stander with a well-known dad will know the town) where one of our go-to restaurants specialises in steak on the stone. I refuse to have it for that exact reason (and because I'm a cheapskate), but one of my sons has it every year without fail. And you've got the wear a bib! Nonsense.

You are joking right? I’m seriously looking forward to the return of @Herr Tubthumper ’s 1901 foody reviews
Not done one of those for a long time, need to get back at it.

On reflection, I did exceed my one-photo policy when I was in Marseille and Rome. Herr Tubthumper was playing to the gallery though, especially in Marseille, and the food was so good it needed to be shared, that's my excuse!

I don't have an issue with the steak and hot stone despite being almost veggie. It allows me to cook the steak EXACTLY how I like it. Too many 'chefs' don't understand the difference between medium rare and medium.

Oh? How so? I’ve never used a stone - how does it help you get it ‘right’?

See for me I like mine rare or medium rare. I find myself trying to scoff it all in before it overcooks!

As the stone is fire hot you can cook your steak exactly to your liking ( assuming you know how to cook steak ). I tend to cut the steak into slices and then remove them when they reach medium rare. Dip them in bernaise sauce .... beef heaven !

Take it off the stone once cooked to your liking .... or just before ideally as it keeps cooking without the heat.

I get the logic, but I would not trust myself to get it right unless @Uncle Buck was seated next to me.

Oh come on - you'd eat the whole herd of wilderbeast running majesically across the plain if you could - cooked or uncooked ;)

Talking is worse. Seems to be a big thing at the bigger gigs I have been to.
A few years I saw Ulrich Schnauss and some NOB was talking loudly near the stage. WTAF?

f***ing people. :rant::catfight:
