Watching Brentford game tonight and they are showing the game as it happens on the in ground big screens. Spurs do the same and even Palace do.

Anyone know why we don’t? I’m not saying we should - just that we can, and choose not to

Briefly on Saturday after one of the goal chances was shown on replay the screens at the Amex started showing the match live. Was only for 5 or so seconds but noticed and was surprised as like you say we never do that. Quite a few grounds seem to though.

Amex is small enough not to need it surely?

It’s a bit random I know but I sit behind the press box and after a controversial incident not shown on the big screen and then going back to real time I find myself watching the game for a minute or two on the press box screens before I remember that I am am actually at the game.

Don’t get old :lolol:

 That reminds me of when I'm on a plane and find myself watching something on someone else's screen for a good while before I realise I could watch it on my screen. With sound!

I had thought that showing live pictures during a game was outlawed, as it could influence refereeing decisions?

Every time I go to St Mary's I'm amazed by the tin-pottedness of them showing ADVERTS during play.

I was in WSU front row for the Liverpool FA Cup game, so we knew the goal was onside before the ref did 😂 Could see the green line on screen and one of the analysts/journos was already celebrating

I found myself thinking the same thing as the OP only this week. Why did we decide to use our screens the way we do?

I wonder what the result would be if there was a ballot of ST holders? Would we opt for the current system or the action as it happens?

I think I'd probably stick with what we've got but it would be interesting to see a one-off experiment with the other idea.

Radio 5 spoke about this recently and a delayed refs decision, where its believed he watched the action replay to make a final decision. Its not my idea of the beautiful game.
No replays shown on the big screens last night at Brentford. Just the live feed with seemingly no delay.
