the team Gus picks should be relative to our opponents - the only players that I can see pick themselves at the moment are Tomasz, Greer, Bridders, and Macca.

I agree with this. Gus studies the opponents and tries to exploit their weaknesses with the team he thinks will do that.

I don't think you should change a winning team (save for injuries). With 7 now available as subs I'd have the new signings on the bench. However I suspect Gus might tinker!

The squad should change depending on the strengths and weaknesses of the other team. It's all tactics, of which I'm sure Gus knows a great deal more than me.
