Should we have kept Dobbie?

We would have at least 2 more points
If Blackpool didn't have Dobbie, would they have fielded 10 men?

I'm pretty confident we'd have a lot fewer points if we kept hold of him.

What made laugh yesterday was we sold him to Palace who then got them into the play offs who then knocked us out then hit the jackpot then they loan him out to Blackpool then who could of scored the goal that keeps us out the play offs and a shot at the jackpot :(

You're lucky that Goodwillie didn't score as well, that would have added to your conspiracy theory as he started last season on loan to Palace from Blackburn.

Was I the only one to notice him flicking the V sign up the side of his head like the Peter Kay joke every time he was getting abuse and I would love to know what he said to Lua Lua when he ran over after hacking him down.He was deffo on a mission yesterday.

I spoke to a Blackpool fan after the game yesterday. He told me that Dobbie has about 1 good game in 5, but that he was clearly up for it against us. So there you are, he is just as inconsistent as he was for us.

Didn't fit into our system at the time. Now he would fit into the role March has played in the last few games.

Interesting comment on the Argus website about him wanting to stay with us and apparently gutted not to have done so.

Dobbie was never played in his best position which is dropping deep behind the striker ,finding space and picking the ball up (not literally before some retard comments on that) and running at goal.Hollaway played him there and so did Blackpool Saturday. Also he was mainly just a substitute getting a few minutes here and there. How was he expected to perform well?.Cant remember how many he started but it wasn't many.

We never gave him a decent run in the side and wasn't he injured for a while whilst here?

The negative campaign against another one of our players who gets hounded out only to show us what we have missed out on (Sam Vokes, Craig Davies, CKR and so on) players who then do well at another club

I wonder if the obsession some have with having a figure of hate and a self given mission from God to drive players out who they don't consider worthy of being here (despite probably being the best we could afford at the time) and the subsequent targeting of these players for abuse happens at the clubs they then do well at?

Because they didn't have a flying start or didn't look that good when first coming back from injury seems to be all it takes to start another campaign of hate towards a player at our own club` - I just don't get why, what do they expect to achieve, it certainly isn't in our clubs best interest and often leads to the players feeling unwanted (ie not a fans favourite) and therefore probably not willing to put as much effort in and / or be willing to leave on a free (Murray) or when the first offer accepted by the board comes in (Barnes) rather than being desperate to get a new contract and stay as long as they can.

How many of the players starting against Blackpool do we even have a song for? - There is really only one song for Ulloa and it seems more about Murray going than Ulloa himself (bet he's glad he's here then  )

This season has been the least supportive from thr fans in terms of creating an atmosphere at the Amex and we have in turn seen poorer results - Is there a connection?

If every single team in the league had a fantastic set of supporters, the same number of teams a year would still get relegated.

So do you think the answer is to demotive players who could end up as key players in a promotion challenge then, because that way we give the other teams around us a better chance of keeping us down (or worse)

No, because he's not very good. He was bound to score against us. Was just in that script.

However, Barnes has got promoted; Murray plays in the Premiership; Hammond has been promoted; Bridge will play in the playoffs; Woods will be in the premiership and Bridcutt is in the premiership. Not all of these players was I desperate to keep, but we seem to have a knack of letting good players go and replacing them with loans like Lita, Obika and Lingard and Andrews, Augestein, Rodriguez; with no idea of how we want to play them. Bit of a joke really.

A little bit of it has been that the types of player you mentioned have tended to be younger players that are still young, are still developing and learning their trade and yet to reach their potential however some of our fans fail to accept this and expect them to be the finished article straight away and don't want to give them the chance to learn, grow as a player and improve.

The reason we get these types of players when they arn't the finished article is because for a long time it would be the only time in their careers that we would have been able to even come close to getting them to play for us.

The good thing is some youngsters are being given time to show what they can do (Ince, March) yet others haven't been afforded this courtesy too (Obika, Barnes for a long time, Vokes when here, Wood when here, Craig Davies when here, and until the last game or so, even Lingard.

Others arn't being given the time to settle in and to get a run of games under their belts and to then be able to show us what they could do Rodriguez, Obika, Lita, etc... before being written off by some fans and given no support or motivation to want to try and to play for our (ungrateful) fans.

Whats to say that the likes of Lita, Obika and Lingard and Andrews, Augestein, Rodriguez won't go on and play at a high level and some are left to wonder how they managed that (lost count how many players we had at Withdean who were classed as non-league but went on to have successful league careers (and often at a higher level than we were playing when they were deemed as rubbish)

Agree with much of this. It was why I said we "have no idea of how we want to play them."
