May be i am wrong, but should we not be getting behind the team instead of having a pop or slagging them off when things do not go right. I bet that some of the supporters that are moaning now about the team were not there during the Archer and Bellotti days. From what i can remember all the supporters got behind the team even though there were bigger issues off the field.

Brighton fans have never got behind the team unless its an away game or their moaning about something(Lloyd/Archer/Mcghee/Wilkins out).

I remember being at the goldstone and thinking that you could hear a pin drop. We kid ourselves that we have a large vocal support, when we don't. You've just got to listen to the so called "singing" section as proof!

Yes. Yes we should all get behind the team - At games. I was pretty pissed off last night, but was not very vocal about it at the time, that would be pure folly and increase negativity.

However, voicing my opinion here is an entirely different matter. Be a pretty boring forum if we all had the same opinions wouldn't it ?

How many more posts are we going to have about getting behind the team? It is nearly as boring as the get Wilkins and Knight out brigade.
I think in some ways the team need to get a bit behind the supporters, those 4-5 k who turn up regular in all weathers are now finding it a strain with the performances.
Come on Seagulls give your supporters something to cheer about and together we will climb this league

Finally! Someone with some sense on here!

Now all we need to do is start a thread for all the anti-team and anti-wilkins supporters, so they can get on with their moaning away from the rest of us!

I go about my life trying to apply intelligence, common sense, business acumen etc, yet I suspend that for half a day every two weeks when I watch the Albion.

It's not easy to justify spending £20 per match plus travel costs, being away from my 22 month old son and harassed wife just to sit in the cold/wet and watch a bore draw, yet this thread is asking me to suspend rational thought and "get behind the team" like some sort of lobotomised moron?

Why shouold I get behind a player like, say, Gary Hart who is clearly overweight, off the pace and struggling at this level, a player who only a couple of weeks ago thought it acceptable to headbutt an opposition player minutes after coming on as a sub?

it only happens at away games and it is brilliant. All the fans stand up and sing, get behind the team, roar them on, even when they are under pressure, sing their hearts out,

luckily for us we have 4 more home games on the trot.............oh....

Question: Would you have got behind the team during the pathetic 5-1 capitulation to Stoke the other year?

Because I'm bored of everyone slagging the team off after EVERY SINGLE match where will fail to get all three points.

This is football, it happens. I think some people need to realise teams can't pick up three points in every match.

I don't mind discussing it on forums once or twice. But every bloody time we lose or draw is a bit too much.

So this is why we have won more points at home than away? this noise really makes a difference?

To be fair, the supporters didn't really slag the team off at the match. It wasn't the best atmosphere but that's because it was a dull match. People who say get behind the team don't seem to realise that it's a two-way relationship, and when players are playing well and creating chances thats when the fans will spur them on.

I don't really understand how coming on here after the match is an example of not getting behind the team though. Even if a supporter sings at the top of his voice for 90 minutes when his team are playing crap he is still able to come on here and say how crap they were, they're seperate things.

I think the NSC balance is more negative than positive, but that is to be expected with an internet forum. Is NSC any different in this regard to any other fan's forum?

I honestly prefer to be in our situation than in that of one of the big teams in the premiership

how boring would it be if you supported a team that won 8 out of every 10 games, with loads of money to buy whoever you want, sitting top of the league playing nice football in a brand new stadium, with players with international recognition, where your biggest moan is that you only beat Newcastle 2-0.

You would get loads of twat fans that would pretend to be a fan, making demand for tickets so high, the prices go through the roof and your chairman wants to play home games in Dubai

This is a small club, where the fans all know each other, all get behind the team with a purpose to get their own home, and when a win comes, the feeling is so great that everyones passion for the club gets greater.
It may not be ideal, but its still the Albion and we all love it!! :)
