Should Tories have the right to vote?

Of course Tories should have the right to vote. Anyone who isn't rich but votes Tory, however, clearly doesn't know what the hell they are doing. It's those people who shouldn't be allowed to vote.

It does make me laugh the Labour supporters being so keen to knock the Tory government when they have Milliband and Balls running their party ! Maybe they should concentrate on creating a sensible and viable opposition party !

What, like one with an 8-point lead in the latest polls, you mean?

Mid-term polls rarely mean anything. It's bad for the country that we don't have a viable opposition - regardless of who is in power. As a floating voter I want as many strong parties as possible but at the moment Labour are completely unelectable.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I'd have thought that if they weren't seen as electable, they wouldn't have an 8-point lead? I mean, I hate them all anyway so it makes little difference as far as I'm concerned.

Mid-term many people register their discontent of a government in the polls knowing that it means nothing. When it comes to actually putting the cross on a bit of paper they tend to think about it more. That's why polls mid-term rarely reflect what happens at the next election. Next council elections will see a surge in Labour votes and Labour will claim "it shows they are making progress" when in reality it's just voters giving the current government a kick up the arse.

You mean the majority of voters in England?

You have got to be joking, with a capital J. I can't remember what the turn out was at the last election, but of those who did vote the tories did not get more than 50% of the vote, which is what "majority" would mean in this sense..

I would rather have Miliband and Balls than cameron, osborne, Gove, Hunt and Co. In fact, I would rather have Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. Increasingly commentators seem to be calling in to question the competence of the current government. If you discount the economy, they are messing most other things up big-time as well.

Hmmmm, why would you discount the economy ?? Possibly because it doesn't suit your argument ?

I meant it purely in terms of considering things other than the economy. I am not impressed with their handling of the economy either and have argued about that on other threads as well.

In other words, not only are they not doing the best for the economy, but they are messing up everything else as well.
