As well as being undemocratic and corrupt(politicians accountable to each other rather than to the people), and a waste of money(The EU spends more on advertising itself than coca Cola).

It still has the one size fits all problems, the latest being Immigration flows to the UK which any sane person would want regulated and thats before the security risk.

Then theres the Euro, rather than joining it it will be interesting to see if any countries get propelled out of it. Which we were when we were in the ERM under the tories many moons ago.

The reasons for staying well clear haven't gone away. A weeker pound has many benefits and helps us in this case, or other countries currencies, ride out the bad times easier.

I see the Eurotrash want the Irish to have another vote on the constitution, something thats already defunct but the Government decided to pass into law. For this alone they deserve to be turfed out of office.

This is an ego driven project without any discernable benefits to the UK but many risks.

Would rather be in NAFTA.

no because it would be bad for the economy right now. maybe later on. And we'd lose money if we were in NAFTA.

The EU has served its purpose, EFTA provides the free trade needed and the UK was never in Schengen anyway. Don't see why you shouldn't leave - I want us out too.

There are no economic reasons to justify moving out of the EU. It is flawed, but then so is rule from Westminster.

we shouldnt leave the free trade area, but theres no purpose to having EU dictate legislation. all usfull legislation brought in by the EU could/can be brought in by westminster directly but under our terms. people dont understand that half of europe has legal systems very different to us and fusing the different systems leads to convoluted and over complex law that doesnt work here or in europe. added to this, the whole EU parliment, commissioner and council of ministers is undemocratic, only serving the euro political classes.

Do what Switzerland and Norway do, and stick to the EEA (European Economic Area), but not be part of EU and rejoin EFTA, is what I say though agree with some things you say there.
