Should the South Stand be our "North Stand" ?

Been thinking this for a while, to me it would make perfect sense, bigger stand, close to away fans. Could get quite lively in there! IMO the current North Stand looks crap, ok will look better when corners filled in, but still think the south would generate more of an atmosphere ? Thoughts ?
before or after you've clapped the away fans :lolol:

Maybe it could be re-named "The Shed"?

I reckon we may as well go the whole hog & make the West Stand the East Stand & verse-vicea. We can even swop the lower sections for the uppers & have a big tombola in the centre circle to randomly relocate the rest of the plucky STH's.

You never know, you could be sitting between TB & that bint going out with Wayne Bridge - with Uncle Ernest in front of you.

Thoughts?

HAA - yes and move the pitch to the car park to make more room for seats. ...........The architects missed a trick!

If we're going to start calling the North stand the South stand and the South stand the North stand isn't it all going to get a little confusing. I don't mind. I have a seat in the West upper, or is that the East upper now?

It'll be the West Lower, unless you're in the Tombola & then you have a 1 in 1000 chance of getting your old seat back (or 250/1 of joining the 1901 Club).

Simples.

Why does it have to either/or both stands should be rocking and joined by the West and East make the whole stadium a cauldron of noise.

Why is the North Stand so named when it's the southernmost part of the stadium?

It does seem that way but it definitely points north (ish). The way the A27 curves near the Amex givers the illusion that the east is west, etc. But the north stand points North west. The west sand points south west. South points south east and east points north east. Hope that makes sense!

So essentially us in the family stand are actually the north stand.

Newbury, Berkshire.
We've got to dump this North / South / East / West thingy and name the stands after Club heroes.

May I suggest

The West becomes the Des Lynam Stand.
The East becomes the Liz Costa Stand.
The North becomes the Attilla The Stockbroker Stand.
The South becomes the Norman Baker end ( as it's closest to Lewes 'n all ).

Me and a mate got our season tickets in the south stand as reckon the atmosphere will be buzzing with the away fans next to and hopefully some banter between the stands. Guess will find out on the first day of the season the type of crowd in there

It isn't really going to be a case of find out whether it will be on the day. You have got to stand up and sing and hope the people who are around you do. That is what I am planning to do and I just hope my seat isn't situated in front of someone who doesn't want to stand and sing. If enough people go to the South stand on Tuesday and sing all the way through the game it should set a standard for the rest of the season.
