It's silly length trousers I'd like to see banned on anyone over 30. Especially when worn all year round! Stripes, despite not being much of a wearer of them myself, are fine at any age although they look best worn at football matches.

and nothing wrong with old'uns wearing the stripes with pride. My mum does (STH) and she's 75:thumbsup:

Wasn't the Bukta kit on sale at the time?

I can't find any evidence of it from match programmes, but I used to own a children's sized Bukta Brighton striped shirt (not a modern day reproduction). Horrible material.

Do you mean too short trousers, or those three quarter jobs that women wear or just too long shorts. Please define, so that I can see if I have any of these and bin them.

I'm not keen on the current kit but really liked the one before so was very pleased to see it on sale at just £9.99 this week at the club shop.

With a b/day coming up, I've treated myself. 1st 'new' shirt since the Centenary.

No they should not, it you would not look out of place on the pitch then yes. anyone else then no.
Football replica shirts in XXL FFS :wozza:

I wear an XXL home shirt, and my waist is 33 inches.
You don't have to be fat or old to need an XXL shirt.
As far as I am concerened wearing the colours is a sign of a true supporter, we should all be buried in them.

Thanks for all the advice. I have decided to buy the new blue and white stripes and wear to show my support on Saturday. If we win suppose I will have to wear it every time as it will become my lucky shirt. So, if you see a stupid old fool wearing the stripes on Saturday it will probably be me.

What are silly length trousers?I wear shorts for quite a lot of the year and I'm an old git!
Wouldn't wear trousers that show off 3/4 of one's arse though, that really would offend everyone....especially me!!!

Does anyone know when Albion replica shirts first became available? A long time after The Oldman started supporting the club, I guess.

I had an Albion shirt in the late 70's. I remember getting it at Swift Sports and having a red number 8 put on the back. I bloody loved it and can still remember the excitement when my mum handed me the carrier bag with it in. Marvelous scenes.

In my personal opinion only, silly length trousers are neither shorts nor trousers. Nor even long shorts which look far better than short shorts!

Socks with sandals. That's just wrong at any age.

I got the replica Albion kit from David Rose Sports in Dyke Road for my 9th birthday in 1978.

Knitted blue and white striped shirt with blue Bukta logos down the sleeves, blue shorts with white Bukta logos down the sides, white socks with two blue bands at the top.

Clingstatically handsome it was.
