[NSC] Should NSC just be a football forum?

NSC never has been, and hopefully NEVER will be a 'football forum'. God that would be SO boring. Rather it is a forum for football fans, mainly Brighton fans. Football fans are interested in, and talk about, things other than football: holidays, other sports, music, comedy, food, drink, pets, politics, their family, their problems, etc etc.

If someone's interests are just limited to Brighton and Hove Albion they can just read those threads, this forum has the ability to enable people to do that.

I would be in favour of NSC being a football only forum, but since learning to read as a child it has hugely helped me to distinguish between those topics I want to look at and those that I don’t.

Whenever I go to another club forum for a laugh at them having a meltdown over something it makes me ever more grateful for the variety of topics on NSC. I don't even see this as a football forum, for me it's a forum of mostly Brighton fans talking about anything and everything, including football. And that's perfect.

NSC should of course be just about prediction leagues and the match day threads and perhaps the odd mention of the U21s and apparently the women have a go at playing football nowadays as well.

Anything else has been conclusively been debunked by actual facts shortly after every NSC expert has had their guess at what happened or will happen,I had something growing on my arse about 5 years ago so obviously posted a thread on here about it,not one single NSC arse doctor predicted it was in fact a ingrowing cornflake so proof is in the pudding.

So yes just football as we are all experts so no silly arguments will ever happen.

This poll feels a bit pointless. It's a reasonable question to ask but it can't reach the right audience.

People who want a football-only forum and who can't stand the other chatter have probably drifted off long ago or at least won't see the thread while it's still on the front page, particularly during an international break. The people voting will be the ones who are happy with it as it is.

There have been plenty threads on here over the years that are non footy related and have been literal life-savers for the OP or those replying with similar situations they find themselves in. The Mental health ones, the alcohol related thread, the one about gout, the one about prostrates, to name but a few. NSC is more than a footy forum, it's more of a mates down the pub type place for me and long may it continue in that vein.

If you don't want to see those, then just click on the Just Albion related Topics are the top of the board, job done.
