I have to agree that making the site less functional is distinctly snide.
Now if you had a tag for users that just automatically brought up a pop up, say every third time they made a post, with simple text messages along the lines of "try not to be a twat" that would be grand.

In all honesty, a ban is preferable. It's essentially the same thing - except this 'discouraged user' thing is shady as f***.

In all seriousness, my advice: stop antagonising everyone, but especially not the mods, apologise and show some reflection on how you’ve behaved in the past. Just a little self-awareness goes a long way.

You kicked up a massive a stink the first time you left, and were incredibly malicious (but very funny to me as an outsider not having to deal with you) in how you behaved, only to come back again acting almost identically without any sign that you had matured.

If you continue posting as you’ve done above, you simply will be banned. You need to grow up, son, and honestly get a grip. You’ve been given one final chance to behave and win back some respect - it’s not too late - but you’ve got off to another dreadful start.

As HWT says above, it would really help if you could communicate any neurodivergent issues you have may have, so that people might be more understanding towards you when you behave in a way most people consider very strange.

I think this should happen for everyone, maybe just adjust it for those that need more reminding.

Discourage user should never be used. It's underhand. If a user warrants a ban, then ban them. Have some conviction in your decision to ban and stand behind it. For the record, I've had it used on me before and it was extremely frustrating that others didn't even believe it.

A poll on NSC asking if you should be banned is never going to produce the result you want - (presumably members to moderate the forum in your favour when a/ it it not their job and b/ of course the majority will vote for you to stay banned because the mere fact you are having a poll to even ask that question attracts ‘’ and ‘’ (I didn’t vote because the poll is just sad ).
