Now I often defend Uncle S on here but this is one of the most ridiculous things he has ever said.

Watch the video again. He is knocked, he handballs it. He got sent off. Am I alone in thinking BIG deal. Yes, it hardly helped matters. Yes, it was stupid and yes we ended up losing. But he is hardly alone in stupidly getting sent off it he? Two rash challenges in the space of minutes by our CAPTAIN Adam Virgo did not warrant this reaction, so why should Glenn's red card.

Sadly too many people on here get caught up in self-fulfilling prophecies which end up doing nothing for the good of our team, but make them feel warm and smug about their football knowledge.

Glenn worked his socks off against Gillingham, linked the play well and applauded all sections of the ground.

He is our best play. Fact. Give the guy a break and maybe, just maybe he might start scoring goals and we might start winning games. Heaven forbid...

I think it is a disgrace, clearly from my position on my bed listening to the radio, he DELIBERATELY got sent off by catching the ball with BOTH hands, slam dunking the ball into the ground and calling the ref a C**T. It was OBVIOUS for all to see.

He should NEVER play for this club again despite SCORING a goal in the first team. Gary Hart and Craig Davies have been immense for the reserves and Yeovil! The answer to all our prayers.

With everyone thinking Dickinson is AMAZING, the obvious thing to do do is turf out Murray and play a crocked Forster!!

Murray is our best player!!!!! - you're having a laugh, shows little interest or effort in the team/club, and looks as dangerous as a wet lettice up front - who do you think would get more offers if we put them up for sale Murray or Bennett?

I find it hard to believe ANYONE honestly believes he got himself sent off on purpose. Honestly?

Clearly it suits their anti-Murray agenda but if he was that not bothered would he bang in a pen and SPRINT back with the ball in his hand to push for a winner?

A second yellow was stupid. So were the other 5 reds we have had this season...

And most of them were met with a slaughtering on here. Especially Adam Virgo's. The reaction to Murray's sending off isn't that much worse. It's the off shoot arguments that come from it.

People saying you can't calling him a twat he's our best player. They aren't mutually exclusive. It was a twattish second yellow.

But that comment then leads to discussion as to whether he is our best player or not, and that all depends on people's opinion. For some people his skills only play a part of that assessment. For some people to be the best you need to provide something defensively as well as attacking. For some you need a consistent work rate as well as "class skills" etc. There is little "FACT" when it comes to who our best player is.

If people were on here saying "You can't have a go at virog for that sending off, he's our best player" reactions would be the same as they are now.

I love how people ignore things like this.

I think I answered that on another thread. Clearly, when he took the penalty he tried to put it in the keeper's hands (he put it the same side the keeper dived to!), when that failed he ran to get the ball to put it on the centre spot as quickly as possible so tranmere had more time to regain their two goal lead.

Yeah I read it. Still not funny.

It was a quality pen by the way, wasn't it? Have you seen the youtube from behind the goal?

He was the best player on the park today, should have scored in second half, made our only chance in first half. The ref didn't have to send him off today, Murray was pissed off with yet another shoulder high ball aimed at him when we should play to feet.

He may be a bit of a plum but no need of a witch hunt.

Well said gentlemen, I totally agree Murray was our best player (maybe along with Bennett) and nobody else looked like scoring.
I have said elsewhere i thought he looked close to his old self on Saturday.
Anyone who thinks he missed the sitter on purpose is a complete fanny it hit his knee and went wide ffs, the cross came over quite fast and he did very well to get on the end of it at all after starting the move in the first place by giving the ball to Bennett.
Yes he was silly for handling the ball when he was already on a yellow but you see players grab the ball all the time when they think they have been fouled. And unlike their no 8 he wasnt preventing a goal scoring opportunity

All the players who have been sent off this season have been called all the names under the sun and victimized by most on here, I do feel Glenn was slightly unlucky as his first yellow card shouldn't have been a yellow but the second booking was utterly ridiculous and stupid, he gave the referee no other option but to send him off.

I Don't see why a sending off will change peoples opinions of him, if we were doing that this season we have to hate an awful lot of people. :nono:
