I wonder whether any of the United board have thought this following his anonymous showing in the Champions League final.
He's scored on average 2 in 5 over his career for United - that's OK but not great in that particular side.
He's scored 2 competitive goals for England in the last 4 years, and one of those was against Estonia.
You'd have to think that having won the Champions League and Rijkaard on his way out Lionel Messi might be open to offers, certainly there would appear to be a potential window of opportunity.
There's no reason to suppose Real won't continue to dominate in Spain, and Tevez is already at Utd.
Personally, I don't think anything will happen but I'd prefer Messi in my side.
