It seems I need to explain it again, I am not belittling F1, and yes I am glad you agree it's a whole team thing, it's just the driver gets the plaudits and with his PR he gets lots more Hamilton branding.
Ask Jackie behind a closed door and he would say Hamilton thinks he is billy big bolloxsI

Stewart is one of my most admired sportsman of all time, like Booby Moore, no need to give it large, they just perform to the top-level in their job.

I am probably more qualified than most to answer this stuff, whether that makes me wrong or right, who knows.

I really hope Hamilton proves me wrong.

Sorry, but the fact you feel you just have to go over the same old points again, when they’ve been debunked, are going to make people wonder about your motivation. Rest your case if you think you’ve made it, else admit you’re wrong.

“Being on the spanners” once upon a time and pretending to read Jackie Stewart’s mind really isn’t cutting it. Try chatting your shit to Romain Grosjean

He already has.

Jackie Stewart was a great driver and also very influential in F1 especially when it comes to driver safety. 3 world championships to boot. Saying that none of the cars that he drove were dogs. He was also a world class clay pigeon shooter. However one of the most admired ... personally I don’t believe so.

My boyhood hero’s were Bobby Charlton and our Lord Sir Gareth Edwards, even now I don’t believe we had a player close to his brilliance. To me both stand above Jackie Stewart ... but it doesn’t mean I’m right!

Judging him on how he acts does not reflect on how good a driver he is. Personally knighthoods should come when you retire.

i have many a life long friend in british motorsport, so as a consequence i am privy to much information that you lot are not, and many a good yarn to boot! (but i've said to much already). i am therefore correct, and you lot are so very wrong, and that's an end of it.

"ooooh, yes please, nurse; and could i have a shovel with that, thankyou"

Mouldy => Hamilton doesn’t deserve it, Stewart is the benchmark

Stewart => Hamilton absolutely deserves it

That’s not what I’m hearing in the paddock. Close personal friends of mine own F1 teams, plus a couple of the the drivers learnt quite a bit from me about the craft of driving. I’m hearing that they’re sick and tired of his BLM meddling and overseas tax residency.

Fair point. I had heard from a friend of my hairdressers who goes running with the wife of a guy who is deputy assistant (back up) trainee mechanic who can categorically confirmed the whole paddock thinks the same but i foolishly dismissed it. More fool me

Explain that again???

Once 'being on the spanners' has nothing to do with my background on this, as usual GB you hate to think I might just know a shit load more than you on this topic.
Think what you want about my knowledge on these matters.
Just wondering but what actual connections do you have within motorsport?

He already has.

Your right, Stewart was hot with a gun, it is common in motorsport arena, I think it has to do with spacial awareness and reaction time. I bet anyone on the grid that shoots is a natural.
I agree with you, but did Charlton and Edwards do anything other than be phenomenal at their choosen sports?

Mouldy => Hamilton doesn’t deserve it, Stewart is the benchmark

Stewart would never say anything different in the media, he was being diplomatic.

The most curious thing..
Formula One is really really boring. Beaten only by rallying which is excruciatingly dull.

Speaking from his Swiss home, Sir Jackie has briefed NSC sauces that he has “no time for tax avoiding LH”.

Amused this thread is still running. Amazing how much puff the gammon still have in them :lolol:

It woud be nice to see him win SPOTY, but as it is a personality contest, my preference would be the mad god-bothererer Fury. My pal BTSW reminded me yesterday about the fly on the wall doc, where Tyson was in a restuarant and was offered two live lobsters for the boil. Objecting to the cruelty he bought them both and took them outside where he freed them into the harbour. Went back into the restaurant and ordered . . . .a steak. Now that's what I call a personality :lolol:

1. I suppose my opinion is formed from the painful interviews where Megan speaks and Harry agrees. Harry has that look of someone that would say the moon is made of cheese if he was asked to. We've all had that mate that turned into an under the thumb, stay in bore whose other half hated the ground his mates walked on. She - rightly or wrongly - strikes me as that type who you'd punch the air in the delight when said mate tells you they've split up and take him out to get smashed and find someone better in that crap bar at the end of the pier. That said, I'd love to have heard what Prince Phil said about this is private and i'm sure a bingo card of racist terms could have been filled twice over.

2. The problem is people hate to admit they are wrong generally. As someone who scratches a profit out of gambling, re-evaluating what you do, where you are going wrong and when you are going wrong is all part of that but it's clear that this mindset is at odds from your average keyboard warrior who is determined to win the Internet (and as someone who has had 6 straight months in the minus figures, I'd be better off doing that now). There are a hundred topics on here where people won't see reason and a bloke in a car is no different to any of the others. Are people fundamentally racist? Bobby Zamora has been one of our most celebrated players of the past 20 years. I've never seen any hint of that being less because of his skin colour. Hamilton has never been particularly liked (no sports personality of the year for example). I'm sure there are people who exist that don't like him because he is black but I'd like to think that is the exception rather than norm - especially - on here. Perhaps I'm wrong but shouting racist but offering no views on his skills in a motor car suggests someone spoiling for a fight that is better off on the Brexit thread.

3. If this vaccine works and we get crowds back in, we will see how divisive BLM is. Imagine the reaction to the first knee in a Burnley at home game? My personal view is that the issues in the USA and UK are getting confused which creates ill will in some places. For example, I don't think that anyone seriously wants to defund the police in the UK but that gets misconstrued and ends up in a limited character argument on Twitter where you are either woke or racist. The lack of nuance in debate, followed on by name calling is no good for anyone.

think you've nailed it there in your 3rd point , obviously there is/are a hardcore of racist idiots in every country and believe it or not many non white countries are anti white and in a lot of cases it is warranted due to their history. America's mass imprisonment and general of Afro -American males leaves a lot to be desired but still the productivity of the wholesale rioting and disruption remains questionable , i'm a firm believer that in the UK we are / were well on the way to moving forward with our black brothers and sisters and the shenanigans stirred up by BLM , Football Lads or whatever they're called has been a set back , the press did not help with their bleating about football lads being far right , it was never that , it was support for Yaxley Lennon and outrage against his treatment by authorities who had appeared to fail in their duties re the grooming gangs .....the whole situation has been hijacked by the media , they should be bloody ashamed of themselves.

just step back and have a look at how many Asian politicians we have in the UK compared to how many Afro -Caribean .....then ask yourselves why.

the answer to some is obvious , less so to others. England needs to turn a corner , clean up it's media and more people from lower down the ladder need to get involved in politics , apathy has been Englands downfall here , Brexit being a prime example , those affected worst by Brexit too busy getting trashed to take an interest and make sure it didn't happen. Now they are ****ed barring a miracle.

back on topic i think young Lewis is seen as a bit of an upstart by some , i'm sure he will mature presently and will be knighted in the future , bit young at the moment though.

Explain that again???

Very simple. Try telling someone lying in a hospital bed that nearly died for his sport on Sunday that Hamilton doesn't deserve honours.

Did you go to Goodwood or a motor museum once or something?

Hamilton. Most wins EVER in the sport. 98 pole positions. 7 world titles.

Mouldy Boots - once saw an old car at Beaulieu.

Anyway, I'll leave it there. You're so wrong that people are queuing up to point it out. That's normally when you start crying about bullying and trolling and we wouldn't want a mod doing that.

That is bollocks. Stewart would always say it as it is ... because that is who he is. Saying otherwise is not in his nature.

Blimey, I know you have been gunning for me ever since the Brexit and Tory wins, can you not see pass politics for one moment, just park it. I wonder how balanced your opinion is when banning people at times.

Stewart pioneered and led from the front for safety at motorsport, the sport has never been safer, you need to look back to the twenties and right the way through to the late seventies, and under some peoples theory, they would all have been knighted.
Make no mistake every racing car driver knows the risk, they earn good money for that risk too, and they generally love the sport at the same time.
Grosjean has always been erratic, personally, I would have never let the bloke drive, he is a danger to all the rest. He would probably be good at a demolition derby.

If Hamilton got 15 world championship I would think the same, as he is not changing anyone else's life but his own.

You could almost see the arm of Stewart reaching out to pull him out of that fire, Grosjean and Hamilton should be very grateful Stewart was in the sport and wanted to make it safer.

Not sure why you are comparing me to Hamilton? I am not looking for a knighthood and would not take one unless I had changed the world for the good.

I am not someone who is extroverted and boast about anything in life, but I probably have more reason to than most when we talk about motorsport, heroes and pioneers, I could actually pull out stories to put the modern drivers in the shade.

I have no need to reveal my inside knowledge, think of me as NOOBHA.

Your right Stewart would say certain things as it is, but he would not disrespect a fellow driver on camera.

Where have I mentioned politics??? But, yes, you appear to be crying unfair when your wrongness is challenged. Again. Bit like why you still get pelters over the replica shirt.

Sentimental, hyperbolic bollocks.
