Absolutely he should, have found I've liked him less and less over the years but there's no denying his achievements. Like a fellow poster has said, sportsmen/women have gotten one for a lot less.

People who dislike him are not racist, there are a number of reasons why, gobby, sulky, arrogant and materialistic.

Like I said earlier In the thread, I was warming to him and his late formed maturity and he starts getting all political.

Looked very ordinary when he could not get the tyres warm. Let see him in a shite car to prove his real worth.
It might even make F1 exciting again.

I peeked at your post. Das Reich likes it. And....back on ignore :wanker:

Trained marxists spring to mind which completely overshadows his achievements, keep politics out of sport

You mentioned 'trained marxist' previously, a while ago.

You are obviously an expert.

Would you mind directing me to where I can register for a marxism course, and let me know what qualification I can hope to achieve? Would it be a BSc, or just an HND or NVQ?

I also need to know that such a qualification will open doors for me, so that I have the reach to get to the likes of you. Money needs to be well spent.

At the end of my tether
If we use the adage that “ if he has got a knighthood, why shouldn’t Lewis Hamilton?” We are on a downward spiral of ennobling nonentities. Personally I am against knighting people simply for sporting prowess or musical popularity.
Why not look at great men of the past , like Brunel or Isaac Newton. If they did not get knighted why should he ?

Issac Newton was knighted in 1705.

That’s a different argument altogether as the reality is knighthoods are and have been given out for sporting prowess or musical ability and to people with achievements that are far less significant than Hamilton’s.

For example I find it hard to argue a credible reason why Andy Murray has a knighthood and Hamilton does not.

It’s not a recent thing either Alf Ramsey was given one for guiding a team to one World Cup but seemingly no dispute about his knighthood or the countless others.

Whatever anyone thinks of Hamilton he has more than earned his place amongst that list

Interestingly Brunel was knighted in 1841, only it was Isambard’s father, also called Isambard, who was knighted Sir Marc Brunel to avoid confusion with his son.

His first name Isambard, which did indeed come from his father, was a Norman name of Germanic origin meaning “iron axe”.

Well done - you just posted a link to a racist fake news outlet:

The Post Millennial is a conservative Canadian online news magazine started in 2017. It publishes national and local news and has a large amount of opinion content. It has been criticized for releasing misinformation and articles written by fake personas,[1] for having unknowingly employed an editor with ties to white supremacist-platforming and pro-Kremlin media outlets,[2] and for opaque funding and political connections.[3][4]

As you well know H it's all about ideology nothing to do with qualifications, there's plenty of trained marxists sites on the web that just a sample,

Yep, Pretty damning.

Hey Wills, don't be taken in by all the lefties. When they start trying to debate any subject. They pop the same old race card face up on the table.

It's sad that they see the skin colour and think that is always the reason.

These guys are the ones that cause division in our once great country.

Not that I need to show proof to anyone but here ate a few of my most admired sportsman and women, just in case they want to play the sexiest card.

Bobby Z
Chris Eubanks
Pele
Tessa Sanderson
Dina asha smith
George Paris
Mo Farah

I could go on.

I am sorry if I have not mentioned any homosexuals as I don't judge people on those things either.
I just on judge them on their head down attitude, to want to enjoy their talent without all the side shows and they entertain while doing so.

Eubanks used the media in a different way and didn't drag sport down with politics.

Remember some of these posters are just here to divide races etc.

The real racists are the ones playing that repeated card.

.

Not forgetting his political motivated arrest for driving his truck to 10 Downing Street and blasting his air horns, reversing into a vehicle and using the publicity to highlight his political view on the Iraq war........who could forget that? :)

If we go down that path then why did Philip Green get a knighthood for flipping companies and becoming a billionaire. The only thing he ever did for this "country" was contribute tons of cash to the Conservative party so he could keep scamming while a blind eye was turned.

And he lives in Monaco. And the scam involved a massive share transfer (for minimal CGT) and dividend to his wife so he could claim poverty after he ripped off the BHS pension fund. Read it again. He stole people's pensions.

Ergo, a gangster. And I have no bother whatsoever in calling him that, just like Trump (expect Green is good at it, and Trump is rubbish)

Yeah it's an extreme case. But there are literally tens of thousands of more minor ones that are totally similar over the years. "Services to business". Look it up.

But one of our, and actually THE greatest sportsmen in his field of all time should not be Sir Lewis?

Oh and obviously you hit the foot directly into your mouth with your two examples that you gave.

I despair. The only answer is racism.
