No, I wouldn't be telling people not to drive for fairly obvious reasons.

I have never tried drugs. You assume correctly. I was smart enough to avoid them.

I've also never smoked. Smart enough to avoid that too.

And, probably much to your surprise, I never read the Daily Mail.

based on your anti-drugs logic, no, i don't think there are obvious reasons.

you were smart enough to avoid them, were you? so you don't listen to music, watch movies, read books or look at any art created by people who have used drugs because you are, apparently, smarter than them?

and how come that little bit of alcohol you have consumed didn't turn you into an alcoholic? because you used restraint. but i suppose people who use (slightly different) drugs aren't that smart.

congratulations on not reading the daily mail. it's more dangerous than crack.

Worthing
I have always felt uneasy around people who do not drink or take drugs.

The "Just say no" message is naive and ill-informed I'm afraid.

People need 'facts' and then be allowed to make their own informed choices. Granted, youngsters especially will make mistakes, but then that's called life. My sympathaies go out to anyone who's been tragically affected by those mistakes.

I've partaken of the international herb for years yet never smoked tobacco on it's own or taken any other illegal drug ( never appealed to me ). And I'd much rather my kids grow up to choose to smoke a spliff with their mates than go binge drinking with them, any day of the week.

HOWEVER. Times have changed from when I enjoyed lovely fluffy leb in a straight pipe or a nice bit of gold seal in a pass the bong session etc etc....oh happy days . And the greenery I grew up on has changed beyond compare. The THC content of skunks is way too much and I really do fear for the future mental health of anyone who canes it nowadays.

So, Should I smoke dope ?.........If you want to, but know that that's some strong shit out there right now, and if you cane it, BEWARE !

As goes the 'just say no' message, isn't that mostly gone from the states campaigns with the "Talk to Frank" campaign - where the website is quite accurate in what it describes for each drugs - the highs, the effects, the legality - without overly loading the information with hysteria and preachiness?
