Yeah I think it was a display. Went on for ages, finished with loud bangers. Mine hates them too, spent half an hour calming him down.

They should be much better advertised with start and end times.

I think it's a tradition. Back in the the olden days, we never used to advertise when we were setting a car on fire in Portslade/Mile Oak :wink:

The firework display was at Eastbrook School just down from where I live. My Sproodle panicked and panted for England when the last big bang fireworks went off. Only just calmed down. Luckily this time he wasn't sick
