Should Capello stay on after the Euros?

Pearce is the man to bring back GLORIOUS failure to the England team as we go down valiantly playing fiesty long ball football, sticking in our heads where others have their boots against technically superior cheating dagos and wops and the obviously bent referee. Bring back the old days

What at being shit....because thats what we are under Capello

Id rather have Redknapp, O'Neill, Hodgson practically anyone, anyone with a grasp of the English language would be an improvement, and someone who is going to attempt to play attractive attacking football

Has to be Redknapp at the moment, the only obvious candidate

anyone with a grasp of the english language would be an improvement? are you seriously claiming that we were better under mclaren than we are under fabio?!

Get rid of Capello as soon as, and he can take John Terry with him. Once those two are out of the picture I might start caring about england again. Mind you if, if they give it to that f***-wit Pearce, I might think again. Seariously, does anyone really want him - passion doesn't matter if you're losing 5-0 every match. It works with the U21s because he can bully them.

do any of us know enough about pearce to really make a judgement? apart from his spell at city where he had f*** all money to spend he hasn't really done much to prove either way how good he is a tactician.......i understand that he's a fairly well respected coach though

passion alone doesn't win you international tournaments, but maybe if he was groomed alongside a more experienced tactical GENIUS it may work in the long term

I thought it was already decided that he was off after the end of the European Championships.

The People - June 26 2011

FABIO CAPELLO will quit football management and go into TV work when he leaves England next summer.

The Italian, 65, has told pals he has had enough of coaching and has lined up a lucrative media deal.

Capello was linked with the Inter Milan job and would be on Roma’s wish list as a free agent, with his assistant Franco Baldini poised for a senior role at the Serie A outfit.

But Capello plans to hang up his tracksuit for good at the end of his Three Lions contract and has told pals he doesn’t want a club post.

Instead, Capello’s camp have thrashed out a deal with a leading Italian TV station, although they are keeping the identity of the post and the size of the terms under wraps.

Redknapp - 63 with a dodgy heart.............................................

and still attracting the interest of PC Plod and an appearance in court still to occur.........#

Not saying I want him, but you could argue that being an international manager MAY be slightly less stressful than a club manager, and by the time of the appointment his court case will be done, so presumably if found innocent, they'll be free to annoint (I mean appoint) him.

oooooooooooooooh BIG assumption there

and if we are appointing from the top flight ONLY (which seems to be the FA's preferred route), worth remembering that No English manager has won the Premier League, and according to the Premier league wikipedoa page, there are only 6 Englishmen managing in the FAPL. They are
Harrry Redknapp, Steve Bruce, Neil Warnock, Brendan Rodger, Alan Pardew and Roy Hodgson.

and I'm sure Rodger speaks with an Irish lilt!

But his son, Anton, plays for Brighton and Hove Albion so he obvioulsy is the RIGHT man for the job
