Should an unfounded mention of Bobby Z's arrival result in a ban?

There's a lot of real transfer stuff going on, we are interested, and lots of people are having difficulty getting all their work done while keeping an eye on the rumours. So we could really do with cutting out some of the complete nonsense. Hence, some special rules at this time of year would be handy, so users know they're going to get some time off if they start such crap.

1) How do you know it's bollox.
2) How many rumours do you believe people 'have heard'.

Sure we get nice easy ones, like the fella not even playing for the clue we are buying them from.

Plus a 'bit of fun' re me a Drogba a couple of months ago.

But by 5 o'clock tomorrow the entire board could/will be full of just made up bollox.
And yes I do appreciate the irony.

But at least the usual bollox is our general bollox not the constant stream of bollox of 1 player after another.

Nonsense rumours are quite annoying, but they usually get weeded out quite easily (and sometimes in amusing ways) - and if you want rumours before anything official is announced then you have to rely on unfounded things like "a mate told me..." - you can't have it both ways!
