A colleague of mine has made a short "comedy" film, it's taken him years to put together. If you've got about 8 minutes to spare have a nosey and rate it. I'll not say what I think, he's just interested other people's opinions of if.

He went through a rather messy divorce and put it on the back burner. Thought I'd do something nice for him and post it on here but I should of known what reception it would get as I didn't find it funny but thought he put it together well.

Regardless of my thoughts of the content, my hat goes off to him just for the fact that he produced something. So many people will criticise all forms of art and never produce anything of worth themselves in their lifetime.

"of worth"? really? not in this case surely....

He put it up to rate/get opinions, not to "only rate good" and say nothing if bad. Does he want us to tell the truth or lie to him? He's a grown adult after all.

I would criticise this because it is rubbish. There's plenty of art I don't criticise because it is good or has some merit. How can you know what is good if you don't know what is bad, it's all relative.

The OPs mate has made a film, it wasn't good. He can take that aboard and go on to make better films or find other talents to nurture.

This. I can't view it at work because of the company firewall, but even "bad" art can be inspiring. I'll often see something and think "I could do better than that", but so far I've been too lazy to bother. Credit to anyone that actually does something.
