Saw the fireball from our coach. Thankfully we missed it by a few minutes. Dreadful stuff.

Such a very sad thing to happen. Hard to feel anything very much about today's game in the light of the traqedy unfolding just down the road. Thoughts go out to all those affected.

I've just got home and feeling subdued is an understatement. I've loved going to Shoreham for the airshow a lot when I was younger. I always thought it wasn't a big enough airfield to hold what I'd call a "proper" display but the fact that it is so small and close was always part of the appeal.

I heard about the crash before kick off but didn't realise the severity of it. Puts football into perspective. It doesn't matter.

BBC showing too much of the final seconds for my liking. Distasteful imho.

That's as nothing compared to a video still visible on this thread, which I reported at around 5.30 but is still there to be viewed  I really wish the mods would disable it or the poster concerned would delete it himself - if he is still able to.

I have also now reported it. (first time I've ever reported a post).

I find it somewhat disappointing that the mods have been so very slow to react. Gods forbid but there may be NSCers with family or friends involved. We don't need that

The Mail Online reports that "the pilot, named locally as Andy Hill, was pulled from the burning wreckage and is now recovering in hospital". REALLY? Beggars belief that anybody could be pulled alive from that fireball. I mean, how could anyone even get close enough to pull anybody out? Luckiest man alive if that was indeed the case.

eh, does the edit button get removed when a post is reported? Cant see it...sorry.

No, I believe edits are only available for a certain time period. If you want to change a post after this you will need to PM one of the Moderators and ask them to edit it on your behalf.

I find it somewhat disappointing that the mods have been so very slow to react.

Speaking personally, it's because I've only just got in from the game. Tell you what, I'll give you my mobile number - that way you'll have the ability to have me permanently at your beck and call.

condolences to the families of the victims who gave died; get well soon wishes to the injured.
