I saw a post on Twitter saying 2 cyclists dead and cars hit. Probably too early to be certain of anything yet.

sorry mate when we have family there and the are on their bikes .That's not a post (rumour) you should be posting.

Pleased to say my family (all on their bikes) are ok.
so sorry if I reacted.

Just got home as couldn't stay after seeing the crash. It tried to do the loop above the red lion and it seemed the engine stalled then couldn't pull up from the loop and crashed onto the airport road. hard to tell if he ejected or not. feel so sad and sorry for his family.

Sky just announced there are several casualties, but no definate numbers. Thoughts and prayers to all involved, looks horrendous.

Reports are that the pilot was attempting a loop but the engine appeared to stall, resulting in it crashing onto the A27 sliproad.

Why are pilots permitted to perform potentially risky manoeuvres above populated areas?

No doubt there will be questions asked ..but perhaps now it's not the time

I think now is precisely the time - especially as there will be plenty more air shows before the summer is out. If a protocol needs to be put in place as of today to prevent further ground casualties so far as is reasonably possible then it should be done immediately.

This. It's one thing choosing to attend an air show knowing the risks involved but endangering passers by is something else entirely.

Seeing as neither u or I will have no input in those decisions it doesn't really matter what we think..and I'll end it there as my thoughts remain with all those involved today

Fell so sorry for the organisers. They do this to raise money for a worthy cause not get dragged through HSE court proceedings and finger pointing from people who suddenly think they know better post event.

These points maybe for another day.
