I don't think killing as many home grown Jihadists as possible is likely to encourage more to leave our shores to experience the joys of being vaporised by a hellfire missile. If anything it may deter those who still have some sense of self preservation.

This seems perfectly logical to me, but wait for all those who will claim that whenever the West reacts militarily, it will do the opposite. It is all too convenient to claim that this action and that action will drive others into the terrorist fold, so best to do nothing, and well, "stand up to them" and "defend our way of life" . .whatever that means. Granted, military strikes on their own will be unlikely to bring about peace, but there is certainly a place for them against an enemy that hates us with a passion and is extremely unlikely to seek compromise with us infidels, unless really pressurised.

Agree 100%. The terrorists must be wetting themselves laughing the way we seem to tie ourselves up in knots trying to 'understand' them and worrying if it's all our fault. Sometimes I think we have collectively lost the will and mindset to stand up to terror preferring to hashtag the violence away in a blizzard of platitudes. Fight smart yes but at least put up a fight ffs!

Dreams or not, if the media, including the BBC see fit to publish/transmit explicit uncensored images of a dead child to strengthen the integrity of its reporting, then such an approach should be applied equally to all horrific events.

The precedent has been set, worrying about sensitivities on this story (and others) is now irrelevant and smacks of censorship, the BBC should be above such a practice.

UKIP got 3,881,099 votes (1 in 8) in the 2015 general election - the third largest party in terms of votes cast. I have no idea (nor do I care much) how many people support the EDL, or Britain First (whatever that is). But to lump UKIP in with whatever right wing extremist groups you care to dredge up is a serious insult to many of those 3,881,099 people who voted UKIP. You might not agree with them, fair enough, but spare the world from your prejudice and stereotyping.

I saw this too. The way I see it there are enough problems in this religion even without these extremists. It will never work and the more people they allow in to the EU the bigger our problems will become later on. The religion can't even get on with itself at the moment, and on top of this the EU can't cope with all these numbers of people, but the politicians will not listen which is why you get protesters in Poland, Germany and other countries appearing.
