For me, I always enjoyed trips to Orient and Southend, both terrible grounds but enjoyed the away days.

also a mention to wycombe, mainly because of the megaphone incident! :clap2:

Gay Meadow was a cracking ground to visit, mainly because of its beautiful surroundings; that park where you could have a picnic and the Severn right behind the main home terrace. I took a walk behind there at the end of the 2000-2001 season. It looked like it was only the riverbank preventing the stand falling into the river it was so rickety, but that was part of the ground's character. Vetch Field was another good one for me. Dreadful old ramshackle away end, with the Gents' toilet being two walls, and the refreshment stand cut out of the security fence, but at least there was a roof and a small away following could make a fair noise. Bit scary though the game when Ross Johnson scored twice and nearly got a hat trick. Some nutters invaded the pitch from the main stand. I was quite glad of the fence that time.

Did you like it on 26th Oct 2002, Nobby?

Looks like there's a major anniversary upon us - share your experiences of that glorious day. It always bugged me we didn't score more that day. So many chances wasted against the pub team.

We didn't have any dosh to improve the squad which had made back to back promotions and basically we were out of our depth at that level. At the time we were making steady progress away from the dark days of a Chairman and his cronies trying to kill our club. Today , in the present not the past , it is an entirely different ball game.

Really enjoyed my one and only trip to Kidderminster. Good real ale boozers before, amazing pies, lots and lots of noise, 2-0 win, on the piss in Birmingham afterwards. Always had good days out to Southend.

for some reason i LOVE hartlepool

-the ground isn't in awful condition it's just ridiculously bland
-right in the centre of one of the dullest town centre's known to man
-the MASSIVE hotdogs
-last train leaves the town at about 9pm meaning mid weeks games attract very low crowds

also quite like luton, which is just SO bad it's funny

It's akin to England fans boasting they beat San Marino 5-0

If I'm not mistaken or too pissed , I had a shepherds pie there or something on the lines of that.
Mash potato was involve I think.

Yep, huge meat pies with mash on top. Divine after what we'd put away pre match.

. So many chances wasted against the pub team.

For Pub Team read "club that has lived within it's means, having been royally shafted and yet gets mocked because of it!"

Back on topic - Orient and Southend

Kidderminster and Shrewsbury are good calls. I think I should move to Shropshire.
