Did someone post the OP a VHS of that weeks MOTD2? Might explain why the news has taken a long time to reach our antipodean cousins.

For those who haven’t seen it the whole ending of the game is some epic shit housery started by Neal Maupay. It’s hilarious and Maupay is on a massive windup with a huge grin on his face. Oh and Martinez does get booked and makes himself look like an absolute melt as he lets Maupay get under his skin and then can’t even drag Neal to his feet by his shirt.

virtually pulling Maupays shirt off his back then assimilating later on in the game
I'd have thought assimilating somebody would be worth at least a 3 match ban.

Well, no wonder @sydney mentioned this was symbolic of the demise of Britain.

These Argies and Frenchies should go back to losing wars to us. Coming over here, making our football entertaining….

And the whole episode, cynically engineered by Martinez to run down the clock, led to Villa's best defensive midfielder (Kamara) being sent-off and banned for three games. He's a good player - just the sort you'd need to manage the centre of the pitch, and help you comfortably see out a game, when for example you were 2-0 up at half time, at Old Trafford.

Oh.

more specifically Maupay and Martinez , how pathetic and how the eff does Martinez get off without even a yellow , virtually pulling Maupays shirt off his back then assimilating later on in the game ......pathetic behaviour and pathetic refereeing, no wonder people are turning away from the game VAR , Refereeing , shithouse players , the premier is going to the dog house , is it merely replicating the demise of Britain in general...??
The Brentford Villa game was on 17 December, a full ten days ago.

To quickly emerge from a 10 day bingefest/funk, nip down to Bunnings and bag yourself a time machine. Turn it on and set target date to 'current date'.

He needs the special Aussie setting which is ‘current date + 10 years’. The NZ setting is + 20 years.

Be careful of “Burnley mode” though, as this basically gives up and dumps you somewhere in a northern, flat roofed pub, with a pint of Mild and an NF leaflet.

I wonder if he pressed the pause button and forgot about it.

I've done that before and then commented in NSC to the confusion of others.

But, yes, it is Australia. When I lived there I thought they were about 4 years behind the UK.

I watched MU x Villa last night whilst enjoying festive cheer at my brother and sister in law's and when I read this, I thought that I'd hit the sauce much harder to confuse Højlund and Maupay. :wozza:

Maupay posted a video to Instagram saying Martinez should be grateful to him because Leno got injured against Maupay at that lockdown match it meant Martinez got a chance to play. Obviously Maupay is on the wind up but very funny.
