We complained about lack of goals last season, with Les on board we would be heading in the right direction to more goals, think Ulloa would learn a lot.

I am firmly of the view that if Tony Bloom watched that then he would be more interested in Sherwood's candidacy than he might already be. Honest to a fault (arguably), in contrast to last few months Gus, communicative, in contrast to Oscar, and committed to player development rather than chequebook management.

Seems very passionate about bringing through youth and giving them a chance.

Spurs scored 40 times when he was in charge (22 league games) so certainly not dull.

I wouldn't be gutted if he was given a chance......

Very interesting final 10 minutes there that I'm sure every BHA fan sat and watched with interest.

Would drop down to a Championship club if we matched each others expectations.
Believes in development in a huge way and would need to implement that or go to a club that agrees.
Not a fan of a director of football, unless they work well with the manager and the manager does get a final sanction on the transfers.
Won't dress up his ideas and would make it clear what he will do and why he will do it.
Went on about Spurs and their training facility with a sparkle in his eye.

Seems to me like we tick alot of each others boxes. Bring in Tim and Les with Inigo in the Oatway role and I would be absolutely delighted.

Should point out additionally that he came across extremely well and Tony made a point about how well Gus and Oscar interviewed. Deserved favourite at this juncture I reckon.

What is there not to like. Sir Les can fly a helicopter for crying out loud!

I had this feeling after the Derby defeat that we'll go up next season without needing to worry about the play offs

A few minutes on telly not sounding like a prick doesn't erase five months of publically slagging off his own players, for me.
Seems to have seduced many in the 'cheap date' category.

If you are stupid enough to believe rumours without hard facts or proof, or believe what papers want you to hear, you are more stupid than thought.

I'm not a cheap date. If it's not at least Pizza Express level I'm not turning up.

I don't really have an issue with an honest manager repeating what everyone else is saying when it is deserved criticism. On a wages demanded/effort provided equation plenty of that Spurs squad do not deserve mollycoddling. Would you rather the type of manager that criticises his players via leaked stories to his mates in the press or is happy to trot out the same tired old bull in every interview? Either way, he will have learnt plenty from that short stint and is likely to emerge a better manager for the experience. I can think of many worse appointment we could make, such as the fella in your avatar.

Really hope West Brom appoint Sherwood, then he won't be coming to us.

Rumours?

I'd rather a manager who didn't need to make excuses and blame everyone else because his team were right up there and very little criticism was coming his way.
But I think you make a fair point: I'd rather have another drab, boring personality like Oscar than a volatile gobshite like Poyet.

You're wrong about Karl though. He'd be an exceptional appointment.

Would he really come here tho?

Im in the Sherwood camp purely for him wanting to breed the young blood and what he did at spuds, a 59% win rate speaks for it self.

I suspect we might have to wait until West Brom and perhaps Norwich to appoint new managers before we can name ours.
