Which was the club where Michael Fabricant MP (then known as Micky Fab) used to DJ?

This might be a shameful admission but I've not been to Busby's, Sherry's Revolution or Jenkinson's. In fact, I can't even remember where they were - jeez, I had a sheltered youth.

Where did you do your thang then Gwylan?

I left Brighton before Busby's existed but have many memories of Sherry's which was everything people here have described and more. A girlfriend of mine used to work on the bar and we would give her a five pound note for a round and get five quid back in change............never went anywhere else until she got caught and sacked.

Remember having a quickie in the toilets with a blonde whose name I never did find out and also being threatened with a glassing a few times

The birds were tarty, bad-mouthed debbies looking to see if they could get pregnant before they reached 21 by wearing spandex and stillettos.

No class:nono:

......precisely the attraction :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

I went to the Alhambra and the Hungry Years.

There was also a late night drinking hole underneath the New Heart and Hand where they served free sandwiches to get round the licensing laws.

I was a regular at the 'Years. Remember any of the names down there?

Jeez, I think I'm doing well to remember my own name these days.

Do yoiu remember the greek family that ran the place...

The scandinavian students who used to flock there in the summer?

Pepper was the name of the mother of the Family, if i remember right.

There was Les (little black guy with HUGE platform shoes) and Keith Hurley (deaf sound engineer) who were always at the Alhambra.

Unfortunately i have been in every club mentioned on here starting with my first underage trip into Sherry's in 1973 (with my mates telling the doorman they had to let me in as I was Jimmy Clithero's younger brother !)
